Recommended to us by the person we rented a flat from, they said check out this charming area and this notable bakery. Loyally we took their advice. This restaurant is located on a busy, well-heeled avenue in Frankfurt. If you have been to a Paul's in London Paris or elsewhere it is VERY SIMILAR. Think French bakery / patisserie with casual lunching while looking into the street watching passers by.
We managed to get a seat outside with blankets among 30somethings and their kids having late lunch. We munched through a tuna salad and a tartine Saint Tropez which turned out to be a slender slice of bread with aubergine, tomatoes and grilled cheese accompanied by a small salad with French dressing. My tuna salad was tasty with fresh ingredients and a basket of assorted slices of bread. We had diet cokes, orangina, blueberry white ice tea (Arizona) and a early grey pot.
Fantastic charming humorous and attentive service made this all the better.
I would definitely go back if in the area again. We nearly ate there the next day but told ourselves to try somewhere new.
