I stayed here for 2 nights with my mom. We chose it because of it's supposed proximity to the main train station (we had an early flight back to the States and wanted convenience). Little did I know the hotel isn't even that close-- it's a 10 minute walk from the station in the COMPLETE OPPOSITE direction from the city center. And it's in a really desolate area, not close to anything except one little convenience store and a so-so Italian restaurant. There are no real dining options at the hotel (their menu has 2 or 3 pricey unappetizing sandwiches on it) so we were basically stuck eating chips at night since we didn't have the energy to walk the 10-15 mins in the cold & rain to reach civilization-- which was just fast food joints & bad restaurants around the station anyway (I realize that not wanting to commute to the center for dinner was our decision but this just gives you an idea of the circumstances).
Aside from that, the hotel itself was nice (but not nice enough to make up for the location!). The rooms are tiny but very clean, the staff are friendly and there's one computer in the lobby with free internet access. We were there on the last day of a convention weekend so it wasn't exactly cheap. I'm still kicking myself for not picking a hotel off of one of the main drags (Kaiserstrasse perhaps) instead. It might have made Frankfurt more enjoyable for us if we were able to reach the sites easier.
If you're looking for an affordable hotel near the station that still allows easy access to the city center, do not choose this place. There are many other hotels that are closer to the center but still accessible to the train station. But if location isn't an issue (you don't plan on going out to sight-see or shop) and you just want a clean, reliable place to stay in the general vicinity of the train station, this hotel isn't a bad option.
