So if you are on a Germany vacation and you have limited time schedule, don't budget your time to come to visit here or Frankfurt for that matter. However, if you are spending sometime in Frankfurt, then by all means. The medieval architecture is really beautiful and their are touristy shops and restaurants, but its simply an old square in the middle of a modern city. Only a few blocks from the financial district. Not much to do. Take a couple photos and done. About 3/4 of a mile from (1.3km) from the train station. It took us 30 minutes walking each way.

Frankfurt is a great European city - particularly if you're traveling to the continent for the first time or you're a relatively inexperienced traveler. Frankfurt has a major airport to travel anywhere to/from the US via a direct flight. And you can get anywhere in Europe via train or air from Frankfurt. It's a more manageable city to navigate than Amsterdam, Paris or London. Take for example the walk from the Flughafen (airport) to the Bahnhof (train station). It takes 10 minutes on the train and then another 15 minute walk to all the great old-world sites Frankfurt has to offer, like der Roemer. On the way you'll see all the great modern elements that make Frankfurt so unique, like tech Central European Bank and sky scrapers. Great city and easy to navigate!

Cool city center area with restaurants and shops. Lots of choices. Since Frankfurt was basically leveled during ww2 most of the buildings are recreations.

Typical German city hall building. Nice for photos, situated on square with some bars/restaurants, close to other tourist attractions.
