“Not bad, but Ikea feel to furnishings”
Reviewed 22 December 2009

Convenient to the fairground and local transportation, hotel is a little run down. The furnishings, while modern, are a little cheap for this standard of hotel. Feels like an Ikea showroom. However, the views from the high floors make up for the furnishings. Room rate at 99 Euro without breakfast was good.

Not cheap but a beautiful place to stay. The rooms were perfect, the breakfast enomous (as its price with EUR 26.- for the buffet).
Only the business center was a kind of disappointing - the PC which was available for the guests had seen much better times (years ago) - and the printer located there didn't match to the driver installed - so we had no chance to print out our boarding passes.

Btw...the building looks like a coin.

Hotel a little out of city centre but close to tram line for access. Rooms small and functional considering location. Local menu in restaurant was very good.

Stayed one night on business.

Amusing and modern looking hotel is a very striking vision on arrival.

Foyer is cavernous and impersonal, but that is standard fayre for conference hotels in my experience.
Check in was friendly and efficient.

My room on the ninth floor was spacious and mostly well appointed; with a spectacular window wall. What a pity the view is a building site and a highway !

The only issue with the room I had was the woeful lack of hanging space. If I was staying more than 2 nights I could not have hung all my clothes in the ten-inch wardrobe.

Bed and pillows very comfortable indeed.

Breakfast was varied and of good quality but at €20 I was temped to catch a coffee and a pastry on the way to work instead.

The restaurants looked good, but I hate eating alone in hotels when I travel. A short walk revealed a plethora of Thai, vietnamese, Italian and Japanese restaurants which provided great value, good quality food. I chose " Thai Wok" with a belly-busting repast for €9 !

All in all if the Radisson SAS Blue was on Ocean Drive, Miami it would be possibly the best hotel in the world. As it is, it is a comfortable and stylish hotel in a business only area.

Good business hotel near the airport, 15 min/25 euro taxi ride. Near 17 tram station goes Hauptbanhoff. Nothing interesting within walking distance. Rooms are cleam, well apointed with good views. Matress and pillows are excellent. Good size flat screen TV. Breakfast is OK particularly if it is include in the price. I paid EUR100/night which is a good rate (on BA's website!). A few small engatives: WiFi was not working, toilet did not flush, pool is very small and the spa was not hot enough.

I only stayed here for 1 night while I was at the Messe. This hotel is quite close to the Messe/ Exhibition centre. I think it's 2-3 tram stops away and hence quite accessible.
The hotel has a modern yet industrial feel to it with unplastered walls, bare ceilings and transparent elevators.
The bell staff saw us bring a trolley to get our bags out of the taxi and stood there smoking his cigeratte..Only after some time he realised that he should help us. This was quite weird.
Check in was quite simple. My room was nicely furnished with all amenities in place and the bathroom has a particularly interesting wallpaper of roses. This was quite amusing.
Overall my stay was comfortable and I may want to come back again.
Nice for a business stay.
Not sure if families can stay here.

  • Liked — modern rooms with stylish bathrooms
  • Disliked — confusion among bar staff and check in over billing
