The Moevenpick hotel is a good choice for a short stay in Frankfurt. It's a quick taxi ride downtown and it's walking distance to a subway station. Also important, it's not far from the airport either (20 min).
The hotel looks new and it's well maintained from the lobby to the rooms. The rooms are of a good size, are comfortable, clean, and have some modern touches to their décor. The downside is that currently the view (and the noise) is from a huge construction site across the street.
The bar and restaurant are a good choice if you want to stay in and yes, they serve moevenpick ice cream! The reception and bar staff was courteous and professional, better than average.
One negative point is that they don't offer free Wi-Fi, but there are 3 computers at the lobby to be used free of charge. These, however, were occupied most of the time.
Overall the cost/benefit from this hotel is hard to beat in Frankfurt, and I would definitely stay here again.

Agree with the previous reviewer (Sasuto): there is nothing fundamentally wrong with this hotel: room was clean, interiors modern enough, internet was free, staff friendly, location a bit odd but very convenient for Frankfurt Messe. The hotel seems to position itself as a four star property, however, for one reason or another, it just did not feel ‘upscale’ enough – at least to us.

For my business trip to Frankfurt in April, I was accommodated at the Movenpick Hotel for four nights, which is set near to the place I did my meetings and was thus very convenient.

I was given a spacious and very clean room with a modern design and tasteful decoration. My bed was very large and comfortable and I had a nice and roomy bathroom too. I had internet in my room and it was fast, which was just what I needed.

The breakfast was included in the price of the room. There was a choice of hot and cold breakfast, including a selection of cheeses, smoked salmon, juice, coffee and tea, etc. There is a good restaurant there as well.

The hotel is not close to the main sites of the city, but is close to a metro station. Nearby are the Hauptbahnhof and the Messe. I had good time at this hotel in general and it was convenient for my business meetings, so I will definitely recommend it!

This hotel clearly wants to be upper class hotel, but still ends up being a nice hotel a bit more comfortable than a 3-star, but not much more. Rooms are ok, clean and practical. Breakfast is of good quality, but nothing more, compared to some other 4-star hotels you could expext to get more selection on fruits, juices, cheese etc.
Restaurant has reasonable prices, but the food itself is nothing special. I've eaten better food in many places. Nothing particularly wrong, but just nothing excellent either.

Excellent business hotel adjacent to the Frankfurt Messe. Good rooms, fully equipped. Mini-fridge with room enough to store your own stuff. Nice "endless" edge shower: you don't need to clamber over any ledge or even close the shower door! Very response, adjustable, quiet, effective heating/cooling system.

Notice that Internet is free (you can be confused -- intentionally -- by the login windows into buying it--don't. Stupid multi-level payment scheme for different bandwidths. Bizarre). The free version logs off after an hour. No problem. You just log back on. Not for streaming though, you don't get full bandwidth.

Wide selection for breakfast, good quality, notice seating options. Top of the line. Nice bar with a flat screen tv. Nothing sensational, but good waiters, convenient, comfortable, and not overly dark and definitely not dreary.

Smart staff, i.e., they know what they are doing, and if there is a problem, they know how to investigate it and solve it. Rare talent!

Walking distance or simple quick U-bahn ride from the central station. Otherwise, out of the way from everything except the fair grounds.

Possible big drawback: directly opposite is an enormous empty lot where construction will start on a major shopping center or something like one. Advise you check to see whether building has started, because if you are facing the front, the excavation and construction will be just a hop, skip, and jump away from your windows.

Movenpick was a bit out of the way from the main sights, but was accessible by the metro. It was low cost, clean and modern. The free breakfast was superb, including a hot breakfast, a selection of cheeses and smoked salmon. My only complaint is that the front desk staff didn't seem to be very familiar with the city, as they constantly provided incorrect information.
