We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, right on the side of the highway. Its positives are simply amazing! But in just three words it would be: location, location, location.
So first of all, the hotel is located on the side of the highway - but it takes you about 5 minutes of drive to get to it from the nearest exit. I think you might even be able to just swing it using common sense, but I highly recommend using a GPS app to navigate here. The hotel has an underground payed parking facility. You have to drive past the main entrance, and then you will see an "Ibis Parking" sign for the underground entrance. I am not sure what the actual parking fees are, but for the 2 nights we stayed there, we payed 24 euros (with late arrival and late checkout). There are no automats - you must pay at the front desk.
The hotel is located about 1 minute from a tram and bus stop. Both the lines that come here go to the central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) as well as the Conference center (Messe). The name of this stop is Rebstockbad, and it's the final stop for the tram that comes here (tram number 17). You can buy tickets at the vending machines in every tram stop or on board of busses BUT you cannot buy them on board of trams. A single journey ticket costs 2.60€ while there is something called the Frankfurt group card, which is valid for up to 5 people for a whole day (multiple journeys) and it's 9.60€. That means that if there are at least two of you traveling twice a day (say return journey to the Messe) it's already cheaper to buy the group ticket.
And last, but not least: the hotel is located next to a petrol station. Both the hotel and the petrol station are located on the side of the highway exit - they are basically on opposite sides of the road. The petrol station has a shop where you can buy drinks, snacks and some baked goods or sandwiches. Also, inside the shop, there are two ATMs, so you can even take out cash, if you need to. You cannot get to this petrol station from the hotel, by car.
The hotel is as clean as you would expect from an Ibis. We had a wonderful sleep in the bed - and they have an extra pillow in the cabinet for you. They have an all purpose shower gel - shampoo in the shower cabin and next to the was basin, so you don't have to worry about carrying those with you here.
