“Always a pleasure”

I regularly stay at the Dirazi on business and would thoroughly recommend it for a one or two night visit to Frankfurt. The rooms are clean, the guest house is very tastefully decorated and all the staff are delightful. It's definitely not a hotel (there is no bar or restuarant), but the breakfast is good and delivered to your room. They also have free LAN connections for your laptop (they provide a cable).

Fine place for those who search for an alternative to the big chain hotels. Location is near the railway station, perfect. It is a guesthouse in traditional style. Rooms are spacious, separate bedroom and bathroom.

Great also is the access to internet, hassle free through a cable.

We arrived during Frankfurt's Book Fair, when many hotels were booked or only had rooms at top prices. I was glad I had been able to book the Dirazi several weeks in advance, at a much more affordable rate. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed the Dirazi. It was a very comfortable, clean, well-appointed room, enough space to spread out, with a separate room for eating and working on the computer, and cable TV with CNN/BBC. Bathroom very well appointed, well-lit and comfortable. Breakfast was delivered to our room, on time and well-prepared. Very good location, on a quiet residential street. A really delightful alternative to a hotel.

We stayed for one night here as an alternative to the expensive airport hotels and were very glad we did. We left our luggage at the storage in the airport (3.60Euros/bag) and got the train into the city. All very easy. The hotel was a short walk from the train station but if I hadn't seen a picture of the outside I think I would have walked past it in the dark. The signage is very discreet! The station is not in the best of areas but the Dirazi was in a lovely quiet area in amongst the city buildings. We did not have any worries walking in the dark. We had advised them of our late arrival and had to buzz them at the gate-again no problem. The room we were given was absolutely lovely, very classy, clean and comfortable. Just one gripe though-we had a kitchen but with no utensils, not even a kettle to a make a cuppa. That was a bit disappointing. The room had free internet which was good. All in all it was a really nice place to stay. We had breakfast around the corner at a coffee bar and got the underground to the old part of town, had a walk around and had a brief look at Frankfurt which seemed really nice. Then it was easy again to get the train back to the airport. If I was going through Frankfurt again I would definately stay here. Recommended over the airport hotels any day!

  • Liked — Location, price, room quality
  • Disliked — No utensils in the kitchen!

We stayed at Dirazi Guesthouse for 6 days and did enjoy it very much. The hotel location is peaceful, yet very close to the city centre. Our room was spacious, amazingly neat and tidy, the bathroom recently renovated and as clean as can be and we also had a little kitchen equipped with a fridge, which was very handy.

Not having an elevator or 24 hour reception or the lack of free breakfast buffet weren't a problem for us (you could order a breakfast to the room at the cost of 10 eur). We liked the freedom of coming and going as we pleased with our own key. It was kind of like you had your own apartment in Frankfurt :o).

If you don't travel light and have difficulties carrying your big suitcases or if you're REALLY overweight or for some other reason can't use very narrow stairs, Dirazi might not be the right choice for you.

For us it was just perfect and I would certainly go there again without a second thought :o).

  • Liked — The hotel was clean and tidy and the room cosy and spacious.
  • Disliked — That breakfast wasn't included in the room price.

I staid in the guest house for business purposes and this was neither the first nor the last time. The hotel is well located, privately run (warm and nice welcome) and offers nice large rooms with a personal touch. Breakfast is served in your room, which is actually quite nice. The double bed apartments are really spacious and the single rooms still ok in size. All bathrooms modern and at high standards. So if you do not need the amenities of a large hotel this is a really good option for work or weekend stays (where rates are lower).
