“Nothing for the colour blind, otherwise big fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2011

Very trendy design hotel in the business district. Every floor has a different colour ranging from relaxed to frenzy, so enquire when booking - Parisian theme is nice. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Excellent kitchen, very nice breakfast. Not cheap but good value for the money. Truly worth a try!

the receptionist asked me to choose the color of the room, since the grey (or was it blue) was near the noisy lift she suggested the red. it was over 'designed' everything red, quiet, a good size. but during the night I was awaken by the shouts of a couple having some very loud sex, this was followed by a loud conversation in the corridor when the woman appeared to leave the hotel. Perhaps the red floor is dedicated to couples?! In any case I would not stay there again, the decoration is just too much and it's quite a way from the fair.

The Goldman25hours has got to be one of the better hotels I've stayed in. Outstanding service, excellent location, amazing rooms and great breakfast. If you ever need an affordable hotel close to downtown Frankfurt, go to the Goldman. Some awesome offers, like renting a Mini for free, internet for free.

Yes the hotel was done out nicely but be warned...there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. The rooms are very hot (even in April) and opening the window is very noisy (on a main road) meaning sleep is nigh on impossible.

I LOVE this hotel. This is the hotel I want to take all my friends too and share it with them. The hotel is so cool, without making you feel uncomfortable (like it's too cool for you). It's welcoming and fun. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The decor is so fun and interesting - each room is different. I loved staying here and wish they had more locations throughout Europe. The prices are great (we booked on the internet and paid 75 euro per night.

Our room was on the 7th floor and the window in the shower wasn't an issue for us. I'm 5'6" and my husband is 6'4" and neither us were exposed in the shower. A woman over 5'9" may be slightly exposed (chest) to the outside, but I don't think it's a big deal. It's Germany, I think the neighbors have seen plenty of breasts and it's not as interesting to them as it is shocking to Americans that are used to more prudish views on nudity. If you're tall or on a lower floor and the shower exposes you then I'm sure the hotel will be happy to work with you to find a more suitable room.

There is a great public room with games, books, and a computer for guests to use. The hotel offers you free bottles of water and newspapers. There were too many cool details to mention, stay there and discover it for yourself! The staff was very helpful and even printed our boarding passes for us. I love this hotel and hope they add more locations in the future!

The good:
nice size rooms, clean, large shower (especially by European standards!), good service, ipod speaker doc is a nice touch, charming decor

The bad:
free high-speed internet is super slow, rooms have no ventilation, street facing rooms are loud with traffic noise, showers have a window where you are totally exposed from above-the-waist, matresses could definitely be upgraded

We originally were given a street-facing room and after the first night asked for a change because the street noise was so loud. The staff were nice enough to give us a back-facing room upon this request. There was no window in the shower for this room, so that was nice, as in the street-facing room everyone was getting a nice show of my breasts when I took a shower the first day! Both rooms I saw had a bit of individual charm, which was nice. Although neither room had any ventilation whatsoever - the temperature was at freezing level, but we had to have the window open in order to get anything but stuffy air. Transport makes the hotel super easy, so although it's not in central Frankfurt, it's no problem.

My advice:
1. Ask for a back facing room.
2. Skip the hotel breakfast. You can get way better at many of the nice cafes. Our favorite was Cafe Karin.
3. And skip the hotel restaurant for dinner. The food was standard with a high price tag. And the bartender we encountered was a bit of a pompous air.
4. Visit the Dialog Museum next door!
