While being an adventure café with bistro cuisine during the day, in the evening excellent restaurant with demanding kitchen: Enjoy a break from art with fine dining!

We were taken to Holbein's by friends who live in Frankfurt. We enjoyed a wonderful evening. Everything about this restaurant was superb. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The food was delicious and the ambience first class. Highly recommended.

We made our annual dealer meeting in this restaurant. the place is really impressive and the food is great as the wine. A bit expensive but the place worth it. Really good follow up of your demand with Meike. Thank you.

We visited the restaurant for a birthday meal as we wanted to go somewhere special.

The environment is stunning as the restaurant is created in what looks like an old courtyard area which has been covered by a large glass structure - new meets old.

We chose the chef's menu of 4 courses where you take pot luck depending what is available. This was just under 50 Euro per head.

We had an amuse bouche of tomato gazpacho soup with basil cream. Delicious!
First course - Tomato, basil and cheese salad in a tasty vinaigrette. This tasted better than it sounded. The tomatoes were various colours and textures.
Second course - langoustine in a quinoa and nut dressing. Whilst very tasty the portion size was tiny and was disappointing. It was one spoon big.
Third course- the best bit! Veal with chanterelle mushrooms and herb gnocchi. Absolutely delicious! This has to be the best meat I have ever eaten in my life!
Fourth course- panacotta with strawberry mouse and fruits of the forest. Again very tasty and light.

If you are looking for large portions this is not the place for you. The style of cooking is all about flavour and presentation. Service is good. All staff speak fluent English. The wine is expensive with average bottle prices of 80 Euro. We didn't bother as we stuck to beer and gin and tonics.

Did we enjoy it? Yes.
Was it value for money? No, but it is somewhere we will remember fondly!

We decided to come here because it was so close to our hotel and was well reviewed. It was a great find, not too crowded and very good service. My fish was fabulous and my picky bf was very happy with his dish. The atmosphere is fabulous and there was piano even on Wednesday night. It's a great selection of many kinds of food and wines. We went twice! There's outside seating but it rained both nights we went.
