This establishment is frequented by the after five crowd for good beers and good basic german food. Schnitzel, Pork Chops, Leberkäse, etc with fried potatos or potato salad. I had the fried pork chop with german potato salad and not only was it very tasty it was also a very large pork chop. I would recommend this restaurant to those who like pub style dining. Not a place to take your date for a special dinner but a great place to eat if you are hungry and want a good beer with your meal.

Its crowded. loud, grubby and--well, old--but absolutely authentic Frankfurt "pub," inclusive harried, abrupt, not-the-quickest service. Limited menu, so don't go for [or expect] more than a hurried snack, good beer or local Apfelwein, but for the ambience and rubbing shoulders with the younger financial movers and shakers of Frankfurt.

Applewine (cider) and good beer on tap with a very limited menu, this rather basic very Frankfurt place has been popular with locals for years. On Fridays only try a Frikadelle topped with a fried egg, otherwise sausages and potato salad, or a giant pork Kotelett. I work around the corner, so it's a regular place for an after-work beer.

Nice relaxed bar with a small menu. Solid German/Hessian bar food and Apfelwein (they also have beer). A Frankfurt institution.

It had lunch here recently. The food is good and the atmosphere is 'typical German Frankfurt': a nice place without being too fancy or anything. The restaurant serves a crowd of regulars, always a good sign. I am sure to come back here, and may even become one too.
