Stayed here for one night whilst visiting the Hannover Messe fairground.
All the staff I encountered here where great, efficient and friendly, and spoke English well.
The location is perfect if you are staying for any fair at the Hannover Messe. It is a short walk from the station (only a 3.10 euro fare from the fair to the hbf. )
The restaurant food is first class. Very nice and the service is excellent.
I have read the complaints in other reviews of the room being small but for me this was comparable to my stay in another German City (Hamburg) near a Rail Station. A smallish room with mini bar, no air con but a central heating radiator.
The bed was comfortable, the complimentary internet was appreciated and adequate for general use.
There were quite a few wear marks, I.e. Chipped mirror and cracked floor, so the room does not look like new but was clean, and comfortable.

The room only had a shower - no bath - maybe other rooms have a bath? Check when you book if it is important.

In summary - a good hotel - would I return? Yes.

We used this hotel as our base for our 4 day holiday in Hannover

Hotel is located just 5 minutes (probably less) walk from both the centre of town and the train station

Hotel staff are very nice and friendly

And we got a free drink at the bar when we checked in

Needed a one night hotel stopover close to the railway station and this fitted the bill as I got an economical rate without breakfast. Double room was of good size with interesting art work on the walls (see photos). My wife and I had a good night's sleep but chose to eat breakfast locally as it was 13 euros each in the hotel. Do miss tea and coffee making facilities in most German hotels.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 5 nights on a business trip. The single room was the smallest room I've been so far. You can hardly move around the room without bumping into the furniture. The mattress is certainly made for kids not adults (see uploaded pictures), and it sinks in the middle. The bathroom shower is so tiny that you want to get out of there as soon as possible. The size of the bathtub is less 3 feet by 3 feet, and again it seems to be designed for little kids. I weigh less than 165 pounds, and I really had difficulty getting into that minuscule bathtub (see uploaded pictures). The Internet connection (Wi-Fi) was fine, but I find it annoying that you've to ask the front desk staff for the username/password every single day. By the way, there is no air conditioning in the rooms. So I wonder how it would feel in the room during the summer months of July and August.

On the positive side, the hotel is located in the heart of Hannover. Almost all city attractions are at walking distance from the hotel, including the zoo and the gardens. The train Central Station is only a block away from the hotel (you can actually see it from the main entrance of the hotel). If you're arriving to Hannover by plane, it's definitely convenient to take the train from Hannover's airport and get off at the Central Station (20 minutes' trip). Then, just walk to the hotel from the Central Station (a couple of minutes walk). Also, the hotel is a couple of blocks away from the city's shopping district. The front desk personnel were friendly and courteous.

I stay in this hotel for 2 nights for a business trip. My room on the 2nd floor is terrible. Both nights I was waken up by some constant sound of a pumping machine or a lift at 5 am. It's not possible for one who needs a gd sleep after long days of meeting. The room also smells stale with smoke. Small. Lobby looks great though. But it is a cheat when u see the rooms. Avoid this hotel or make sure u get the right kind of rooms.

I booked a single room for one night, and I'm glad it was for one night only. Mind you, there was nothing wrong with my room, except that it was so very tiny. Yet it contained all the amenities you would find in bigger rooms. Whoever designed my room can give themselves a clap on the back for not wasting one inch of space. The room was freshly renovated and it was spotless. The bed was comfortable, the central heating worked, and there was plenty of lighting. The bathroom featured a pre-fabricated shower in which you wouldn't have been able to fall over. Like my room it was spotless. If travelling solo and it is your intention to only sleep in your room you can probably put up with its size, if not, book a double or look elsewhere. But keep in mind that location-wise Loccumer Hof is hard to beat if you are looking for an affordable place in walking distance to the railway station (with a fast train to the airport), the city centre, opera house etc. and with easy access to such attractions as Maschsee, Herrenhausen and Eilenriede. The hotel's location also means that there are plenty of places to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. And it's next to a police station, so you can feel reasonably safe in an area that used to have an image problem when I lived in Hannover many years ago. I'd certainly stay at Loccumer Hof again, just not in a single room.
