We stayed here as part of a group and if you have stayed in hotels in Europe they are all pretty similar.
The room was a good size, clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasant and spoke a number of different languages.

The hotel did have the best buffet breakfast I have had in a long time though, a real choice of cheese, breads, meats, fruits, ceral bars, and cooked sausages, eggs and bacon.

If I was back in the area I would definately stay in this hotel again.

We stayed in a suite (we booked a room for 3) on the top floor (room 602 or 3?) and it was gorgeous. Spacious, beautifully decorated. A real pleasure to stay in. The hotel seemed very well run.

Breakfast was an absolute feast! Again, beautifully presented and so much choice - really, quite unbelievable. They even had cake ... which we felt was taking things a little far.

Was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in, and generally the standard during our tour was pretty high.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 602-603 - certainly ask to stay in one of the upper floors.

Even though we only stayed one night we would certainly add this to our list of preferred hotels. Very good room - clean and comfortable - very good plentiful breakfast. Good location for touring the city.

The hotel is pretty standard. It was very clean. It has a huge and nice breakfast. It is in a nice location in the center of the old town, walkable to many shops and restaurants, as well as the town hall and cathedral. I had a beautiful view of the town from my room. The window opens all the way, which is a huge plus in summer, but it is quite noisy on the street outside, which includes the cathedral bells. It seems just slightly worn down-- difficult to get the TV to turn on and the toilet to flush and the shower to drain... close to time for a renovation I think. But overall I was happy and enjoyed my stay.

This hotel pops up when you ask Trip Advisor for luxury hotels in Aachen. This is NOT a luxury hotel. But it's a very functional, well located and clean hotel and it's right in the center of the city. The room that we had (for six nights) was small, as was the bathroom (you couldn't easily bend down to pick up the soap you just dropped). But the beds were adequate, there was a desk and a TV. There were plenty of sockets for electronics, but there was no air conditioning! It was cold and rainy in Aachen last week but our room was warm and stuffy because the window opened only a crack. So this was a love it/hate it hotel. For the most part, it was fine if you didn't plan to do much but sleep there. We were there for the Aachen international horse show so we spent little time in the room. Of note, the breakfast buffet was consistently excellent. Not a luxury hotel though.

Central hotel in Aachen. Nothing special, but good service and excellent tea. Our room had a reasonable size. The building does not have any claim to be a cultural heritage. Aachen is an interesting place to visit.

Just for everyone to know...
Great hotel, great breakfast, great location...great room, great bed...UNTIL the moment we packed our lagguage.
The WALLET that was in my patrtner black bag, left all the time in the hotel room, was gone...
with it the drive licence and his id card that were inside.

Luckily, money, credit cards and pin pas were in my "lady" bag.
When we told the Receptioniste, she said:
" OOOH it had never happened before"...GOOD FOR you 4 stars hotel...most luckily because nobody leave his wallet in the room...
trusting would not be stolen...

I answered" It never happened to us also before either!".

We needed to go to the Aachen police, which spoke German...and barelly English.

This, without mentioning our weekend was ruined, because we spend 3/4 hours in doing all the necessary for the report to the police.

The taxi costs to go and come back from the police station, I have to ask back to the receptionist(in such case is the minumum they could voluntary offer) and after a while thinking, she gave me back this money.

Also, we noticed security is not the strongest quality if the hotel.
our id's were neither asked neither checked at chek in or check out: I could have been a terrorist whatsoever...

The lagguage, when we checked out, asking if we could leave the bags, was placed locked, in a room, but with no names or room nr. on it...so I could have picked up ANY lugguages in that deposit room.
