A great location in the centre of Aachen. Perfect for all the sights, shops and restaurants. Nice and clean and we'll appointed rooms. Breakfast particularly noteworthy with lots of variety and of a high standard.

The location of the hotel is very good, practically in the heart of the city. About 5 minutes to Cathedral, Market, City hall and all other things in the centrum :) The hotel itself is very neat and very clean. Room is rather small but I supposed it's the same for all city hotel like this. Bed is suprisingly good, bathroom is proper n clean. Breakfast buffet is also very good and there's tea coffee making facility.

Cons:
-Standard room is facing mainstreet, which is pretty busy with bus. Bus seemed stop after 10PM, but there's also taxi stand. I'm not sure if the taxi chauffeur is talking the whole night or there's always people passing by going home from the center(maybe drunk) talk quite loud. So, if you're sensitive with noise, this hotel might be not for you. My room was located on 5th floor and the window is pretty good isolated but still, you can hear it.
-Airconditioning in the room is not working well, and minimum temperatur is 20C but I don't think it's reaching that temp
-The curtain is not totally dark, so in the summer time you can still see the early sun light. Not really a big deal for me though.

Tips:
-I was doubting between this hotel and Aquis Grana, and based on the noise issue above, I should've taken that one as it's located like 100m further inside, in a quiter street it seems.
-Parking is close by, which is actually just the opposite of Aquis Grana hotel :)
-If you don't book for breakfast, it's very close to bakery, like 5 minutes walking to the shopping area. OR McDonald is also around the corner.
-In McDonald there's free wifi for 1 hour and they open until late.

So, apart from the cons I mentioned above, it's actually a very nice city hotel.

Room Tip: If you spend more money on non standard room, you might get the room facing back which might be quie...

This hotel is centrally positioned for everything you need for a short or longer break in one of Germany's best citys. Great rooms with Sky News, comfortable and clean. Great buffet breakfast.
Walking distrance to shops, culture, history, eating and drinking.

The hotel is very well located in the heart of Aachen, 3 minutes away by foot from the Market Place and the Cathedral. The price is quite competitive as well. We made our reservation on the Web with a special rate for a Standard Queen Room, Breakfast, Wifi and Minibar included.
Well... the Standard Queen transformed into a Standard and the Minibar was extra. We were disappointed about that. The Standard room is ... standard and small. The breakfast however is great. We prefer the Aquis Grana hotel in the same neighbourhood which is a little bit more expensive.

Stayed for 5 nights while husband had conference. It was centrally located for easy walking. We were told we had to wait 10 minutes for our room to be ready and it was 10 minutes!! Room was clean and comfortable. Lobby is VERY small and had a funny smell several days upon walking in. But staff was very accomodating. Didn't eat breakfast there but husband walked a block to a nice bakery and came back with wonderful pastries. Enjoyed the free mini bar. Free computer was offered on the bar area floor so I could check e mails which was nice. We were in room opposite main street so noise wasn't a problem.

Room Tip: Stay in room away from main street

A very healthy cockroach greeted me this morning by running over the bathroom mirror while I was brushing my teeth.. I brought it down to the reception and they didn't look very surprised or like it was a big deal.

Wifi kicks you out after a few minutes of inactivity which is painful, but not a showstopper.

Breakfast was ok, but I'm happy I didn't think about the state of the kitchen while I had it.

Had difficulty finding the small sign & if you are caught up in the Aachen traffic & one way system it's quite hard. It's even harder when directed to the pay car park via a road which was blocked with roadworks which the reception didn't know about.
The room was adequate but small. The breakfast was excellent. If you want to be near the Cathedral, Old Town & Rathaus (unbombed Aachen) then this is well located.
Not so expensive so overall a decent stay.
