We stayed at the Novotel for three nights in December 2011. The hotel is clean and bright, the staff helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the bed surprisingly comfortable. We had both a bath and shower. The toilet is seperate and near the door which is great until you have to find it in the night as the room is pitch black! The air con/heating was on constantly and although we turned it down in the room it still felt stuffy. The communal parts of the hotel felt very warm. Our only complaint was that the tea/coffee facilities were dirty when we arrived and weren't replenished after we had used them. Take your own tea bags!!! We didn't use the restaurant as we thought it was expensive, 30 euros for breakfast, but on the Sunday nothing was open in the vacinity except McDonalds!!! There are lots of bars nearby which are much cheaper than the hotel bar but they are all smoking!! There is an underground car park which was £45 euros for the 3 nights.
In all the Novotel is the perfect base for a short trip to Aachen!More
