The hotel is located in the middle of a housing area about 2km from the centre of Aachen, and is really quite hard to find. As most people I imagine visit Aachen to go into the centre, this is a pretty big obstacle to recommending it.
The hotel itself is OK. Weird pictures on wall (I think this is the 'Art' bit showing itself) throughout the hotel - the ones in the restaurant while we were there looked like large-scale 'painting by numbers' but were on sale at several thousand euros each...
Rooms are big, and have various 'artistic' elements - including more odd pictures and things. In my room there was a huge 'novelty' design bed side light with enormous light shade - which is OK, but made light so dim it was hard to read by.
Plumbing in room was top-notch.
Restaurant was not up to much for dinner, nothing special and not a lot of it on the plate. But breakfast was a much better event with lots of choices in a standard hotel-buffet affair.
The hotel claims to have a pool (and spa) but the pool was really small and probably on the limits of what can be called a pool I think.
We thought it was quite expensive, especially given the location.More
