My wife and I spent 2 nights at the Ibis Bochum Hauptbahnhof, which is just attached to the bahnhof (railway station). in spite of being so close to station the room was pretty quiet. travelling by train I had the possibility to see that many German railway stations had IBIS hotels very near or nearby. from what I could realise rooms are sound proof.
The room wasn't as nice as the one we had in Wattenscheid, but being clean and sufficiently confortable was quite good for € 34 a night.Breakfast was not included and was offererd for 10 euros. we didn't take it as just 20 metres further, into the station you could get a good breakfast for about € 10,00 for two people.
We had double room with a large single bed; the room doesn't have a "bidet", neither were offered small towels useful when washing intimate parts. But for 2 nights as the hotel was clean, quiet and above all cost us just € 68.00 everything could have been very bearable.
