A bit outside of the center (reachable by tram 15/17 IIRC, stop Scheibenstrasse) this restaurant does not look much from the outside. Inside, it is more functional than homely.

The reception was friendly both in English and German. They don't have a menue, there is just one meal. As a starter, they offer two (they probably hate me for calling them) Ravioli, which were nice.

They then heated the coal grill an brought the meat. They offer Shrimps, Pork, Veal, marinated Veal, marinated Duck and Squid which are accompanied by a selection from the buffet. Besides Kimchi and Salad, they have a lot of vegetables, rice, a good soup and Tofu (still, this is probably the wrong place for a Vegan).

The food was very tasty and even though I've sadly never been to Korea, it was how I would have expected it to be. There were many Asians, which is always a good sign.

Great place, lots of quality meat, everyone very full at the end

Cooking in middle of table meant hot faces but happy business partners
The staff explained the process well and kept us in drinks and meat
Generous portions
Tasty marinade
Great place for business dinner of around 4-6 people
Not good for vegetarians obviously..

Went here with 3 adults. There is only 1 menu, so no difficulties with choosing what to eat.
We arrived very early and were the first guests to arrive, but later on the restaurant became more crowded.
When the first plate with meat was served (in total there are 3 huge plates, 2 times meat, and 1 fish plate) we got an explanation on how to bbq it, and how it could be eaten. We tried the typical Korean way of eating the meat in a lettuce leave, which was really delicious. Furthermore, there is an all you can eat buffet bar, which you shouldn't miss either. Later on we were offered home grown sesame leaves to put our meat in, which had a very peculiar taste, we really loved it.
Afterwards, we ordered the ice cream, I was a bit disappointed that it didn't have the form of a fish, but the great taste made up for that ;)
Would definitely recommend this restaurant, great food and service!

My husband and I were here for dinner. They have a all you can eat delucious korean side dish bar with varieties of pickled vegetables like radish, kimchi, etc. Theres also korean pancake, soup, rice, etc as well. The main dish for grilling were brought to our table. First came the beef and pork. Then bulgogi beef and duck meat. Lastly came the seafood (squid and prawn).

The food taste good and the price was reasonable and the service was excellent. We will definately come again.

We decided to try this Korean restaurant out of curiosity for my girlfriend's birthday with friends. At first it look a bit out of the city center but it wasn't so difficult to get there Cologne DOM with the U-Bahn trains with just one change. The train stops just approximately 100m from the restaurant on the main street so it's very easy to find. Inside, all the tables had a ventilation fan to fan out the smoke from the barbeque. They are built a little higher from the table (than they usually do in Korea) but it still work sufficiently. Once we were seated the waitress came and explain to us how the barbecue works, we will be served different types of meat, pork and beef, marinated pork and beef, prawns and squid. The different type of kimchi side dishes were served at the side and we can take as much as we want. There are also rice and kimchi soup as well. The other waiter came and lit up the gas stove to start the coal fire and after a few minutes, came back to turn it off and serve us the first portion of the meat. He explained and showed us how to do it the first time around and left us to continue cooking ourselves. Halfway through, they even came to change the hot plate as it got a little more stain. The meat and seafood was good and exceptionally tasty were the marinated meat. The different types of kimchi were also very good and authentic. We also had a couple of bottles of soju. The service were very good and all the staffs surprisingly spoke very good English! We would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to try out an authentic Korean restaurant. bear in mind though that your clothes will still smell a little from the nice barbecue meat ;)
