Well, the hotel is, in my reckoning, not that bad as the previous reviews seem to portray it. It is fully functional family-run establishment. Rooms are of a decent size with high ceilings and warm in cold weather. The bathroom is tiny indeed and has an unfortunate layout. They do not have real double beds, just two single ones pushed together, but that's normal in Germany. The breakfast was not up to German standards, poor selection and not the best cheese and sausage.
What struck us most was the way the room was decorated. We located no fewer than a dozen electric outlets lined up on the wall just about our bed (see pictures). Then we were astonished to see a huge garden frog on top of the cupboard. Finally, as we lay down, we saw a plant hung on the ceiling next to the lamp. Truly bizzarre!
All things considered, at 75 euros a night the hotel was too expensive for what it had to offer. If you can get a lower price, in the range of 50 to 60 euros, it should be fine.
