We just stayed 4 nights at the Marriott and really enjoyed it. Our room rate fortunately included breakfast. Breakfast is great, it would have taken more than those four days to eat your way through everything. Location is good, close to the train station but still in a quiet spot. Walking distance to the old town with it's restaurants, museums and shopping streets. Our room had a king size bed and a large bathroom. If there is anything I would change, it's the carpet in the room.

The hotel is in a good location convenient to the Dom and the train station. I was there just before the Christmas holiday so it was a short walk to a couple of the Markets. My room was spacious and well furnished. Nice sized modern bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. The lobby seemed a little sterile , but everything else was comfortable. I was particularly impressed by the executive lounge. the selection of food and beverages was outstanding. the personnel in the lounge were particularly friendly and responsive. the parking garage is very tight. you can tell by the fresh paint and fresh scrapes on the posts and walls, i wasn't the first and wont be the last to find it very small. I have finally learned to rent the smallest car you feel comfortable driving if you are only driving in the city when in Europe.

The Cologne Marriott is centrally located and at walking distance from most attractions. Only 300 meters from the Central Station (no noice btw), you can reach the Altstadt or the main shopping street in approx 5 minutes. The Chocolate museum takes you approx 30 minutes.

The hotel rooms offer exactly what you would expect from a Marriott, the bar is very nice and offers a large range of e.g. open wines. The Executive lounge is excellent! A parking garage, watch the pillars pls!, is below the hotel.

All in all, an excellent Marriott!

This hotel is very close to the train station and within walking distance to major attractions in Cologne. The rooms are tiny but nice. I didn't get to check out its amenities because I was too busy touring the sites and enjoying Koln. I didn't spend much time in the hotel other than sleep and eat breakfast. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options and the wait staff was nice.

We spend many trips each year in Koln and tried the Marriott, attracted by its 5 star rating. The hotel is in a good location, a short walk from the station and the Dom. Modern and soulless which we found disappointing and not what we would expect of a 5 star. Limited facilities and a long labyrinth of corridors to the rooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast in the restaurant was very good with great service. Bed rooms were lovely as was the bed, great night sleep. Missed not having a bath and the full length mirror was inside the wardrobe door which didn't fully open, so to check your self out you almost had to climb in the wardrobe. No bath robes and breakfast only available from 6.30 if you need an early start. In summary ok, good for sleeping and near the town centre, but not a 5 star!

Room Tip: There are rooms on the inner quadrant that are away from the road and noise.

As a female business traveler, a safe hotel is always a priority and this one delivered. The hotel is conveniently located near Cologne's top sites, the main train station and easy walking distance to the other side of the Rhine. The rooms were clean and spacious, some of the largest I've experienced in Europe. The Executive Lounge was top notch, food and beverage were plentiful. The English speaking staff was extremely helpful on directions, currency exchange and more.

One must be very spoiled when one doesn't appreciate the luxuries offered. We had booked a special and very good offer. We had I suppose the cheapest possible room and it was great. All one could want, a good bed, a luxurious bathroom very friendly staff and exuberant breakfast.
Tea facilities available and the city centre at our feet. There is always a little something. I asked myself will I spoil this fairy tale by telling. But tripadvisor is about the truth. After two nights a found a little piece of glass on the floor. We had not broken a thing, so I concluded that the cleaning hadn't be optimal. (Staff apologised elaborately) And One of the big white towels had two holes...
I never expected that. Do I still recommend the Cologne Marriott? Yes. Yesss!
