It was my first time at a Mongo's and I was very impressed. You'll get a dish and then you can choose a sauce hot or not. You choose by yourselfe raw meat and fish with vegetables and they cook or deep-fry it fresh for you. You can get very specific meat like zebra or Mahi-Mahi for example or normal meat like chicken or beef. They serve rice directly to your table. The staff is absolutly polite, very helpful if you got questions about the meal or the drinks. They got a lot of different cocktails and all you can eat buffet. It's better to reserve a table, 'cause it's very good there and not too expensive!

This restaurant is perfectly located, if you are just visiting for a day or the weekend. Start your day by shopping or visiting the Farina Museum, then walk towards the river and start exploring the Old Town, Cathedral, Dom, Ludwig Museum. After that walk the Hohenzollern bridge to the Koln Triangle. Arrive around 5pm and go straight up to the panorama, Cologne in the setting sun is simply stunning. The cathedral and the Old Town are so beautifully lit up. This restaurant is located in the Koln triangle (right to the entrance of panorama). After seeing the panorama you will arrive at the restaurant around 5.30. This is the best time to go, as it gets extremely busy around 6.15-6.30pm. The service is great! It was our first time and we didn't speak German, the waiter was so helpful and took his time explaining us everything (you basically get soup and bread for free, and after that you can choose how many courses you want, 23euro is unlimited! the dishes are basically whatever you choose from the ingredients, grilled with a particular sauce). We also witnessed when it got really crowded and there were many people in line, they handed out free drinks and snacks. As for the food, it was delicious. Very similar to average wok, except its grilled, and the sauces and the ingredients are much better.

You can combine your visit to the Cathedral, Dom, Ludwig Museum

This is restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

First time here Loved the place. Great concept. 2nd time service was poor/ Waiter kept us waiting 20 minutes, so that by the time we ordered we were payiny the higher dinner price rather than the early evening price. When we complained, waitress was quite rude and said 'do we not understand that the till would not allow her to extend the offer' even though it was her fault. Has put me off. Also, when it came time to collect the food, there was a massive queue.
