This hotel is very modern, clean and perfectly located within walking distance to the Aldstadt and the Ko. The walk is through a park which can be foreboding at night, as there is no lighting. The hotel is definitely good for business and would recommend it for business travelers. The bathroom is very nicely decorated and the shower was very large. The room got a little hot at night, even with the window open in December. We went to the lounge late one evening for coffee and were informed that they don't have coffee. (We believe it was more like we don't feel like making coffee) There was no coffee maker in the room either.

The rooms were good; the shower was large, the bed comfortable.

Located across the oldest park of Dusseldorf, the hotel offers a quiet stay within easy reach of the 'Altstadt' (historical city) by just crossing the park and one street.

Service was very good.
Their internet computers were out of order, but the staff allowed me to use one of their own.

The restaurant offers a good menu at an affordable price. The restaurant staff is very knowledgable.

Stayed for two nights to visit Christmas Markets. Hotel did not disappoint, very close to tram stop (Stern strasse) but quiet and opposite the park. Greeted on arrival with mulled apple juice and a biscuit, great touch! Room was a good size (4th floor), bed was super king and you had a choice of pillows from the pillow menu. Room was v clean and really enjoyed the bathroom and toiletries, although I found the hairdryer heavy but I do have very long hair, so drying it not a quick job. Breakfasts were fab and my vegetarian friend found it super. Lovely selection of hot dishes, pancakes, wonderful bread - especially the 'crown rolls', croissants, small pastries, cheeses, hams, cereals, lots of yoghurts, toppings, smoothies and fresh fruit. Big queue Sunday morning and every table taken so queues at the buffet as people loaded up their plates. Service stopped 15 mins before the official end so I was turned away when I went for an orange juice. However, Monday was completely different - empty - my friend and her husband arrived at 8.10am to an untouched buffet!! We arrived an hour later and it was great; I even got a smile from the Chefs who had time to look up. Staff were really helpful and multi lingual. I would have liked to try the spa but ran out of time. I would certainly stay here again and would recommend it. It's a short walk to the old town/river, safe location, as is Dusseldorf we found. Taxis were outside the hotel but we got an all day travel ticket from the airport for up to 5 people and went via the train and tram to the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the park are quiet.

The hotel is good. The room is clean and the right size.
Breakfeast is excellent with a lot of choises, but be on time because there can be a queue. Also restaurant has a nice menu with good food for a reasonable price. Try also the spa!
Next to the park and close to The Kö.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights, Feb 2011. Thoroughly enjoyed being in this hotel, such good value for money, loved the style and the friendliness of the staff. We paid for breakfast, although we joined the Melia reward club which entitled us to 50% off each, and it was lovely, lots of selection and freshly cooked.
The location is not directly in the city centre, but that suited us, as in we didnt want to be right in the middle as the walk was a nice walk through the park or along the river.
Only negative is that I found the beds a little hard, but personal preference.
Recommend the Rhine Tower!
