Stayed one night here on a business trip. Was really impressed by the rooms - very modern, amazing views, and funky layout. Bar downstairs had a river terrace and the food in the restaurant was pretty good. Would definitely stay here again despite the distance from the main downtown area. Recommended.

Went for a quick weekend trip, and had a great experience at the Hyatt Duesseldorf! It's not the best location for the tourist sites, but with nice weather it's a pleasant walk along the river to the old town. The media harbor area where the hotel is located has some cool modern architecture and there some trendy restaurants and bars nearby. Public transportation makes it pretty easy to get to the main train station and other parts of the city.

The rooms in the hotel were great -- decent size for Europe, nice style, comfortable beds and bedding, and very nice bath area, with Grohe rain shower and handheld combination. I also appreciate the combination of design and function. This is the first hotel room I've been in with a night lighting system, with dim lights near the floor by the bathroom. This perfectly solves the issue of getting up in the middle of the night without turning on the lights and waking up your partner. Also the gym has a nice view of the harbor and the newest equipment, and the jacuzzi area is fantastic -- bring your bathing suit!

To me what set this hotel apart was the service. We were checked in by Johanna, who answered all our questions about the city (showing highlights on a map), provided a great restaurant recommendation, and gave us her opinions on shopping in Cologne vs. Duesseldorf. The next morning we needed to take the bus to the main station, and the smallest bill we had was a 50. A fellow bus passenger asked if we were guests at the hotel, paid our bus fare for us, then introduced himself as the night manager, Steve, and told us to just drop off the money at the front desk for him that evening. This is going beyond the call of duty! Our last night, my friend was in the room when housekeeping came by for turndown. They asked if she needed anything, and she asked if it was possible to get sparkling water instead of still water (they provide bottled water in the rooms). He responded that she would need to order the water through room service and she declined, but after we got back from a drink at the lobby bar, there were two bottles of sparkling water waiting for us. The great service continued at breakfast the next day. Breakfast is expensive, but the selection is great, and it seemed like someone was always coming by to make sure our coffee cups were full and that there were no empty plates on our table. Fantastic service all around!

This Hyatt offers great value for what you pay. Top-notch facilities and service, makes you feel like you're at a much more expensive hotel. Even with points this is a bargain, as it's only a category 3 hotel. I would definitely go back to the Hyatt Duesseldorf, if for nothing else than to relax and feel pampered at a great hotel!

Wow this hotel is beautiful. The setting is amazing and it's the right side of trendy to be completely plausible. The rooms are unusual in the sense that you enter through the bathroom but the rooms have ceiling to floor glass windows looking out over the river and at night it truly amazing. High recommend for business or personal travel.

Stayed there last weekend. Brandnew place in Dusseldorf, spacy rooms, nice view over the rhine, perfectly clean. Just 3 small details, which should not happen in a 5 star house :
- requested a smoking room ( yeah, I know, but I still smoke.. ), but no ashtray in the room
- the offered coffee bags were already used
- the mirror was broken
Anyway, enjoyed my stay a lot.

Pretty stylish place if you like modernist architecture - looks like the sort of place you would film a BMW or Mercedes commercial. Rooms on the small side but comfortable. Heard some noise from neighbours. Restaurant pretty expensive (€50 for a small plate of sushi and they will wet the bottom of a large wine glass for €12) but good. Nice bar, nice gym, spa and pool. Internet is extra of course and you can buy 3-hours or 24-hours, but not 6-hours which is what you need most evenings.

My first choice in Dusseldorf, the low-key Hanseat in Oberkassel was booked so I elected to stay at the Hyatt. The hotel is brand new and Hyatt certainly spared no expense on the decorations...you can always tell a swank hotel when the house auto is a Porsche Panamera! The Regency Club, located on the top floor, is phenomenal. Great view (although I could only guess since it rained both mornings I was there) and the breakfast is quite fresh.

The immediate neighborhood seemed a bit Spartan but once you're cross the bridge, you're in a very vibrant spot with many bars and chic restaurants to choose from. If you're in Dusseldorf on business, I highly recommend this hotel.

VIEW: On a clear day, you can see all the way to the Cathedral of Cologne. The view from the club, on top of the building is just incredible, either at breakfast time or at cocktail hours. Try also to get some corner room as high as possible, the view on the city is just great.
RESTAURANT DOX: the products are great. Try to get a table close to the open kitchen. The rest of the restaurant is lacking some atmosphere. There is Sushi Chef, all by himself, watching the few people going up to the Champagne Bar, worth a visit but reminded me of Fred Flinstone.
GO IN THE SUMMER: so you can relax outside, the hotel has just a Jacuzzi. The are - Media Harbor is worth visiting for houses with extraordinary architecture and the "living bridge".
