We stayed in Hyatt Duesseldorf for 3 nights in mid July for a short city holiday. Hyatt in Duesseldorf is offering excellent service, great & clean rooms and an extensive breakfast buffet.

We were lucky enough to get a discounted rate of app. 140 eur / 2 person incl. breakfast which was really worth every euro as the normal rate seemed to be more than 200 eur for the same.

The cigar lounge was also a great experience for an occasional smoker after diner.

The service was great in many ways and this kind of service makes Hyatt a 5 star hotel.
The area around Medienhafen is also great.

Only slightly negative matter was the WI-FI charge but apparently this is still a normal practise in Germany for some reason...

I was here for just over a week. The hotel is in a very pretty area. It is a little ways from the main shopping area and the old town, but at least for me that made it nicer. Getting a taxi to and from the hotel was never a problem. I don't think I waited more than 2-3 minutes at any time. There are some nice, not super upscale, restaurants in the area although I found I was running out of alternatives after about a week. The hotel is situated in the old dock area so you can see the river and the inlet into the docks.

Service was prompt and efficient. The menu from room service wasn't all that extensive or the food all that memorable. Still, I would recommend the hotel. It is expensive.

It has a nice fitness center that was easy to access and use with good equipment.

Room Tip: High rooms look out over the river. Certain rooms have a view of the inlet to the river. Those are t...

I stayed there for a conference. My room was facing the river, was spacious and stylish. The breakfast buffet was amazing: they serve you fresh tea or coffee, you can order an egg dish of your choice and the staff is very friendly and not stressed out, even though it was very busy. The conference amenities and catering were excellent. Receptionists and concierge were friendly and helpful as well.

Room service was quite expensive - I didn't expect anything else - but the sushi I ordered was not very fresh, maybe the leftovers (I ordered shortly before the sushi bar closed)...

Room Tip: Book a river-side room!

Sleek modern hotel with spectacular river views. We stayed in a club level suite and the views were outstanding. The service and hospitality that we received from all the hotel staff members were terrific and we could not have been treated better. The club lounge was incredible with continental breakfasts in addition to wine and drinks with appetizers in the evening. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and a 10 to 15 minute walk along the river will bring you to the old section of Dusseldorf.

Room Tip: Select a club level room.

I just returned from 3 nights at the Hyatt on May 23rd.
I absolutely LOVED my room! It was modern, sleek and spacious. I stayed on the 9th floor, room 918 and had a fantastic view of media harbor and the interesting post-modern architectural buildings.
My king sized bed was very comfortable, my shower was large, I even had a separate tub (which i did not use).
Plenty of closet space and hangers, mini bar with refridgerator, and remote control blinds for large picture window! Coolest room I have ever stayed in!
The ONE complaint I had with my room, although it was clean, I found it to be very dusty.
Not a big deal for me, but since I suffer from allergies I was congested in the room.

The location was ideal - short walking distance to the heart of Dusseldorf with many great restaurants, bars and discos. There is also a park closeby, also within walking distance, with great views of the harbor and city.

A great hotel to stay in when you are traveling to Dusseldorf!

the hotel was beautiful--brand new, very "boutique", but my only complaint was that it was located in such a strange area. I was on business, so it was okay, but if you're going to tour Dusseldorf, it's way outside of the downtown area in a business district with nothing much around to see. For business, it was great because you're not there to sightsee, but on the other hand, you have to get a cab to go out. It is located on the river walk though, which is really nice.

This hotel is located in the stylish media harbour in Düsseldorf. Try the Sunday brunch with a spectacular view on the river Rhein! They have just opened the rooftop terracce where you can enjoy barbeque.
The staff is very friendly, everthing is like you would expect it from a 5 star hotel.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the higher level. YOu will get a fantastic view
