If you are a plane spotter, then this is the place for you. Open from 0900 to 2000 each day, with a €2.20 per adult, per day, entry fee (you can come & go as you please), it's good value for money.
With the two parallel runways right in front of you, you will see all arrivals & departures. There are seats strategically placed around the terrace, although there is no shade or cover in the event of inclement weather (so take an umberella & coat if things do not look too good. Equally, sun screen is a must, as the direct sun & win will burn - from personal experience!). If you want to see what is due to arrive & depart that day, may I suggest you look at dusinfo.net which gives most of that day's departures & arrivals, & is a great help to the enthusiast.
A kiosk selling cold drinks, ice creams & sausages, opens from around 1100 to around 1630, but you can take your own with you, if you wish.
Toilets are available on the terrace at all times.
Until recently, you could also use the facility at the train station, but due to cut backs & costs, this has been closed.
