We checked in on May 25 for 6 nights-the Chinese-run hotel gave us two Bahn Hotel passes for the whole trip which covers unlimited S/U Bahns/trams/buses-this was fantastic! It made our whole trip, jumping on/off of transporation at will. Staff at hotel-all courteous/helpful-24 hour security/elevator rates at thie time in May 59 euros per night for 2 people with a nice BIG bath tub-(Note to Americans only-NO AC in this hotel or any other hotel in Europe, unless you upgrade to a 5 Star Hotel-and even then, check on this-some hotels will not put on their central air until July/August even if it is 90 degrees in June). The location across from the train station is perfect-no crime/lots of trams/buses going by-our back room had no noise at all-mediocre Chinese restautant next door will do take out for travellers-my chicken curry was just awful-low-grade pieces of chicken-avoid unless starving. Will stay again.

Room Tip: choose a back room-no noise-note-no mini-fridges in rooms/no microwaves.

Very poor value for money. We were three collegues, two payed €125 and the third €175 for the same kind of rooms. Depressing interior. Good breakfast but the cheese was dried on the serving plate.
I spend 50-60 nights in a hotel every year and have done so the last 20 years. This hotel lies in the €35-45 class.

Chose this hotel as needed a fairly cheap hotel for 3 friends so a triple room here was the answer, It is located opposite Dusseldorf Hauptbahnhof, one street back: quite easy to find. The man on reception definitely did not believe we had a booking until a friend used his scripted German to progress check in.

Keys are old school affairs with huge key rings that have to be handed in when you leave the hotel. I don't like this as it also means the receptionist must let you back in at whatever time in the morning you return from the Aldstadt!

The rooms were clean and functional enough. Being 4 months since I stayed there I cannot remember anything remarkably good or bad about them, which I suppose is a good thing.

Yes I'd look at this hotel again in Dusseldorf but not a stand-out favourite.

Nice cheap hotel near train station. Helpful staff, free city maps. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is unusual, shower is outside the bathroom, no toiletries, but have hairdryer. 6th floor rooms have a small terrace/balcony which is nice. Breakfast is also good.

Room Tip: Take the room on the 6th floor with a balcony/terrace. Terrific view over Dusseldorf.

Good price quality ratio, clean room and very friendly personel. No problems to leave our lugage for some time after checking out. Close to the station and to the Old city. Good free wifi connection in the room is a plus since you don't see that too often at the cheaper hotels.

I was here for one night - my room was 45 Euros and had a nice bed and is close to the train station. It is more expensive than the "Komet" which was my initial choice but had a "dodgy looking" guy wandering around. There is a nice Turkish eatery near the station if you are hungry and being Germany you can buy good beer cheaply. Happy to recommend this hotel.

Have stayed here every year for the Boot show. No frills hotel , clean and adequate. Rooms were warm in winter. Good sized rooms for a European hotel.great location. 2 blocks from hauptbanhof and also a block away from Ostrasse st staion, wc is thectrain to take to the boot messe. Great location for those who want a break from German food. Ramen house, korean, italian, greek, japanese and chinese restaurants plus an orientalngrocery allmwithin 5 min walk.
Wish they had more than one english channel though. Only CNN availale.

Room Tip: Ask for quiet room in the back and if non smoker ask for room NOT beside a smoking room.
