“worth to go.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2013

if u interest on art, then should stop your foot here. in the morning , we went to Hetjens museum, then we have 2 more hours before 1700 , so we went to this museum. That is huge , but got 3 floors. sometimes there are some special exhibitions held which need extra cost. But, if u dont have time, so, go to permenant exhibitions that take 5euro for adult. for permenant exhibition 1-2 hours is enough to enjoy all .

“Nice glass collection, Odd security”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 April 2013

We went on a rainy day in April and were the only two people in the entire museum. The glass collection was very nice, the other sections were just average. I have to comment on the obnoxious amount of security in each room. We were stopped three times and asked to see our tickets while browsing the galleries. In every room we were followed so closely by the security (within 5 feet) that it was uncomfortable and we didn't want to stay long.
Nice to stop in for a few minutes to view the glass and the small collection of Japanese carved figurines for 5 euro.

“Big place, cool exhibitions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2013

I only went to see Gursky, but it rocked! The place is massive and can get crowded, but I'm glad I went. They really do present the pieces very well. I didn't check out the rest of the museum, but I really liked this part/exhibition.

“Must see”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2013 via mobile

Very interesting museum with a variety of exhibitions - from wooden icons and statues of 11-12 century, amazing paintings of 19 century to the modern arts. They also have gorgeous exhibitin of glass, again from ancient ages till nowadays. Kunstpalast in Dusseldorf is worth seeing!
