“Wonderful experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 October 2013

My wife and I had four nights in Dusseldorf and spent two nights at De Capo. We were enchanted by the warmth, the generosity, and most of all the food. My wife is a coeliac and requires gluten free, a request that was handled with flair and ease. The ambiance is modern Italian, tasteful and familiar. We would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone living in or visiting Dusseldorf.

“A must go on every trip to Dusseldorf”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for quiet a while. Unfortunately we moved to the States so we can't go their as often as we want to.
But every time when we are back in Duesseldorf we have to spend at least one night at Da Capo. Not only that the service is charming and very attentive the food is delicious, too.
As a starter I highly recommend the buffalo mozzarella caprese or the rondin de chevre. I am glad that these two are still on the menu. The entrees change every now and then but Roberto (chef and owner) and his crew know how to prepare their seafoods and steaks. Everything with porcini in it is also a good choice (try the filet mignon!). Luckily the crew also seems to have a sweet tooth. Don't leave out the dessert (even when you think you already had enough).
If you are looking for good wines, too, then this is the place to go. Huge variety of different Italians and some nice French and Germans. Prices are reasonable.
What I love about this place is the combination of great, fresh and perfectly prepared food AND being treated with honest respect and kindness. You really feel that Roberto loves what he is doing and his goal is to make his guests happy. So don't hesitate to ask for some specials and off the menu dishes. He will do what ever it takes to make you feel comfortable. Looking forward to December when we can eat there again.

“Lovely evening”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2013 via mobile

Went here during a business meeting for dinner.

The food was very nice. They have plenty of english translation menus, which is fantastic, but does not have the full menu, but luckily my German was ok enough to figure out what was available!

The service was very good and the atmosphere very welcoming, friendly and pleasant.

“Decent Italian Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2013

The place is your local neighborhood restaurant. The beers are local including the Frankenheim Alt and Veltins Pilsener. The Beef Carpaccio was decent while the porcini mushroom pasta was very very good. Atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Pricing of the food and drink was reasonable. I would eat here again.

“Pleasant rather than spectacular”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2013 via mobile

Nice but not superb food in park side location with residential roads adjacent to outdoor seating.
Selection of food was good and quality was fine, but perhaps not to the level that reviews had indicated.
I would go back but not until other options nearby had been sampled.
If there was a 3.5 star I would have given that for all
