“Try to avoid the experience”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

It looked more like a hostel and not like a hotel, bed and bathroom and the rooms are very problematic to say the least, everything is tight and uncomfortable.
We got a group in winter, some of us did not get the rooms available and the worst some rooms had no heating.
Try to avoid the place, came there only if you have no choice.

Not a bad location but in a main street, really busy and even the taxi driver did not want to take me to the hotel in rush hour becasue it is no full. The staff is super friendly and the place is clean enough.
I got the room 604 which you had to take the elevator to the 5th floor and then I had to guess where to go after that, the door I finally chose was marked as "private" and my room was up the steps into a crawl space kind of place, really small and a bit detached.
All in all a inexpensive hotel and central location, not bad for a night or two.

Room Tip: The main street is very full and loud, better towards the back.

Perfectly acceptable, and very cheap, central hotel for Dusseldorf. Located roughly half-way between the main station and the old town, rooms are spacious, staff friendly and helpful, and all amenities included. Free wifi works well. Didn't try breakfast (which was not included in my €38 a night deal), but there are plenty of convenience stores and cafes that can provide within a 200m radius. Recommended.

The hotel was adequate. As many of the other reviewers have stated, the street on which it is located is busy up until quite late at night. There are eateries (Asian) located quite near that are open late, but the grocers, which is quite near, closes at 8 am. There was lingering cigarette smoke in the hotel and in the room (I suspect that many of the guests and perhaps staff smoke) so if this is an issue, be warned. It is quite near to the Dusseldorf HBF (approx. 4 Euros by cab). All in all a good hotel for budget travelers. I stayed there for one night in October, 2013 and the temperature was not an issue - (I actually found it a bit cold!).

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not face the street!

Stayed here for 5 nights during DRUPA,12..paying almost Euro 190 a night..

Hotel is just 3 tram stations away from Dusseldorf HBF and plenty of trams to reach HBF / City centre all the time..

We went to Breakfast early on our first day of stay and found quite a variety of food.. but next 3 days we went around 9.15am and always found most of the trays were empty.. they were never refilled (fruits, eggs, yogurt etc)!!

Apart from this breakfast fiasco rest is okay.. I mean the rooms were clean (one day they forgot to clean room and issue fresh towels!!!)... complimentary internet worked well...

Staff at reception were helpful whenever we needed something (booking a cab, directions to nearby places etc)

Nothing good about this place.

-
Surly, unhelpful, curt reception staff.
Deafening rumble from passing trams.
Dirty room.
Scruffy corridor with highly visible scuff marks.
Long, long way from city centre.

Room Tip: There aren't any good rooms here

Our group (8 persons) booked 4 double rooms using bookin.com Four days before visiting the hotel, I send e-mail to the hotel and asked - is the everething OK with our reservation and they said, that OK. When we came to hotel, manager said, that she hasn't information about our reservation and every double rooms are full. As it was 9 p.m. and we didn't want find new hotel, we asked about single rooms, manager said - "single rooms we have" and we have agreed that married couples have borrowed single rooms ana I and my friend stay in triple. But the manager has suggested to pay to us a greater total cost than if we were settled according to our order. We have declared, that as on their fault there was such situation, therefore they on the contrary should us give the discount as 3 married couples test inconveniences, living in a single room with a small bed. After long discussions with the chief, the manager all the same has given on the discount
