Visited this hotel for a conference. Staff were very helpful, friendly & courteous on check in. Excellent room. Window in bathroom was a nice touch for watching the news while relaxing in the bath! Breakfast was comprehensive & delicious. Free WiFi in the public areas would have been nice for business travellers. WiFi connection otherwise very expensive.

"Manners maketh Man" - and certainly a hotel. After a waitress slipped and spilt coffee on my wife's dress at breakfast, the staff at the hotel couldn't have been more solicitous in making amends. The dress was back in our room, cleaned and pressed within 3 hours. Various staff at the front desk and in the restaurant apologised and checked everything was ok. We had already been upgraded on check-in, having booked a superior double with breakfast and being given a club room with access to the club lounge where free coffee, drinks and snacks are available all day. All the staff were consistently pleasant and never appeared put out with any request. The room was spacious and comfortable and the en-suite had both bath and shower - the shower a nice square marble cubicle with both fixed and handheld heads. One quirk is that the en-suite has a window into the bedroom - albeit with venetian blinds that can be closed from a switch in the bathroom.
The hotel is well placed in the heart of Dusseldorf, right on the 'Ko' - Konigsallee - a street of designer shops and pleasant street cafes. Dusseldorf has a quite compact centre, so the Altstadt and the Rheinuferpromenade are only a short walk away.
We will certainly be going back to Dusseldorf (again) and the Intercontinental remains our hotel of choice.

This hotel was a 3 to 5 minute walk from the main train station. As are most neighborhoods near the central train station, it wasn't a neighborhood of luxury. However, the hotel was excellent for the price that we paid. However, the location of the hotel is great. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Aldstadt (Old Town) and there is tram/bus stop right outside of it.

The inside of the hotel was nice. It was not 4 star quality like that of America but on par with the 3-4 start hotels in Europe. The room was a bit small but who spends time in a room when traveling? The service was friendly however I found it odd that everyone at the front desk was from a different part of Germany and could not give us any recommendations. Even more strange, when I asked the front desk if they could verify a reservation for me that we had at the Panorama Restaurant, she didn't know what I was talking about and did not make an effort to even google it. It wasn't until I asked if she could just call the number on the form that I had printed out when she was willing to call.

Regardless, the hotel is worth what you pay for. We did not try the breakfast as it was 15EUR. There were tons of restaurants nearby which offered delicious cuisine for much cheaper.

Another thing - you have to pay for Internet and even when you do pay, the connection is pretty crappy. The internet when we stayed was 5EUR for 30 minutes, 10EUR for 120 min and 14EUR for 24 hours.

Stayed for four nights and checked out today. Last night was like a disco as there was a function for, I believe, high school kids. This went on until probably 3 in the morning. Upon checking out, I was told to pay for the accomodation eventhough I fully paid in mid May when the hotel was still Dorint. I was told that Dorint should have refunded me but todate, this has not happed and there had been no contact from Dorint. All the staff could do was to give me the telephone number and email address of Dorint.... Could this be real...

I was there in my New Year vacation. I loved the place there. The hotel was modern, good designed and sophisticated.
Facilities were good. The only thing that I didn’t like is the toilet designed as it was appearing. Wall was designed with glass window, which is showing you the room, it will be embarrassing if you was traveling with friends.

I normally provide more comprehensive reviews, but I only stayed one night at the Intercontinental Dusseldorf so I can’t offer too much. I do want to point out a few things: (1) The service at this hotel is superb (2) the rooms are lovely and (3) for me, the best part is that it is attached to a Holmes Place gym – a very comprehensive fitness center. It’s so nice to be able to work out in a nice gym when traveling. I’ll certainly stay at this hotel again and hope to offer more information later.
