1) Very old and uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. Even 58 kilos body could feel old springs!!!! New mattresses doesn't cost a lot. That's okey with all other pieces of furniture but mattresses should be renewed! Hotel is used first of all for a having a sleep!

2) Old bedlinen
All together old mattresses with old bed-linen (1)-(2) makes you feel as you are in a cheap motel but for 100 eur

3) Extremely old tiles and sanitary (end of 80ties or beginning of 90ties). Water couldn't be drained out quickly in the bathroom while having a shower. It's disgusting to stay in a water till the ankle. But hotel has towels with its name. We would prefer newer sanitary rather than named towels.

4) Old furniture (80ties)

5) Old painted wallpapers

6) Everything except bathroom covered with a carpet (much dust)

7) No English TV channels (only Germans), Internet is very slow, not possible to watch steam tv or youtube.

8) Very old sauna, tiles (beginning of 80ties)

9) Water in the room per 3 eur

10) No refrigerator

11) No safe

12) Very primitive locking system

13) Parking is possible without garage in this area (not indicated in description of the hotel)

14) Curtain in the bathroom was dirty

Hotel needs some investments (at least in mattresses, sanitary) and renovation. No comparison with other hotel we stayed in Dusseldorf for a better price and much-much better quality! Very disappointed!

From the other view there are the following advantages:

Hotel is in nice residential area.
Quite a big room, but the space that is not effectively used
Room has a nice balcony
Breakfast is good
Potentially hotel could be nice, has a big territory

Room Tip: on the pictures there are rooms with renovation, so ask them while checking in

The shaving-mirror which doesn't magnify either way is the show-piece inside the bathroom; otherwise the bathroom is spacious than many others around and very clean. One line of internet for all the guests is a disgrace to 2012; the small pack of Haribo left on the pillow doesn't make the experience too sweet. I have not seen anybody dining here other than during breakfast.

They could justify the price for the very extremely well-maintained and homely rooms and a quite good breakfast they provide. In their favor, this is a family-run business; but money-conscious people may want to go away.

My family stayed here for one night( it was going to be 2 but decided against spending another138 Euros) the suite was in another block seperate from the hotel down the street , entering through the front door down into the cellar ( which at 5 in the afternoon had just been mopped and stank of bleach) along a miserable corridor and then 2 keys to enter the suite. The suite was large and clean but the small patio outside the kichen window ,along with 2 chairs and a small table were not for our use!!!
No one told us where the sauna was and we had to ask for the tram tickets. There was no internet access in our room no telephone service to the main hotel and the TV was unwatchable, there was no mirror in the main room to use to dress or dry hair as I don't like my children to use electrics in the bathroom, and a mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities would have been better than a kitchen.
In the pool area there were 8 loungers all with no cushions and were uncomfortable.
The buissness area in the reception was in constant use by a 10 year old boy.
We had one set of 4 keys which was really irratatating 2 for the main room one for the hotel and they couldn't tell me what the other was for and a seperate one for the garage.
All in all this is not a boutiqe hotel and is quite old fashioned. The breakfast was ok but was asked if any more coffee or tea was wanted or was I able to get any myself ,the waitress did not speak English.I will not be going back to this hotel I prefer more modern
decor and attention to detail ie telephone ,TV's I can watch, mirrors small thins but essential for comfort.

The hotel is located halfway between the airport and the inner city. The next tramway stop is two minutes by feet away. I got a parking on the street, but would not guarantee for it in the closest proximity. The room was large with a wonderful balcony facing the garden with an outdoor pool. The range of products offered for breakfast with a cold/warm buffet was clearly over average for this hotel category. The staff in all belongings has been of remarkable courtesy and politeness. The only downside has been the heating, which is regulated centrally. But I was not cold and those, who like it chilly to sleep, may open the windows or balcony doors.

My husband, I and my daughter stayed at the hotel for 6 days while my daughter was undergoing medical treatment and we needed a place with a kitchen. We had a one bedroom apartment with full kitchen and a washer/dryer. The rooms were clean; the staff was very accommodating, and friendly. The hotel is located in a very nice residential area and close to local restaurants and grocery store. The only downside is parking is very limited, but manageable. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

We went for a party in the city over the weekend, and this hotel came with a recommendation. We had a room facing the street, on the second floor. The room was small, but very clean and with modern furniture, all in good condition. This was a hot weekend, so we made plenty of use of the well-kept garden , with a nice pool and sunloungers. They have a day menu, and so we ordered food and drinks in the garden, which was all to our liking. The breakfast was also very good. One has to mention the well-stocked honesty bar near the reception that was available 24-7. Overall I would say this hotel is what you are looking for when you want a nice place to stay and explore Duesseldorf and area for a few days.

My friend & I were lucky enough to get a 3 night stay in this hotel for an offer of £30 through Hotel Connect. When we arrived and checked in, we were expecting to be put in a small basic room with an en suite bathroom but what we got was an apartment in another building a few yards down the road past the hotel. All I can say is, for the money we paid, we got an amazing room with a kitchen, bathroom, massive living room with a settee and LCD television & an amazing view at the back looking over the garden.

The staff were very helpful and gave 'spot on' directions/instructions on which tram to get onto and which station to get off at for the old town (Altstadt). The swimming pool was great and was a welcome facility, especially with the weather being so hot on the first day. The hotel also had a sauna in the basement which we also used and again, a great add-on to the stay. The offer we got did not include any meals during the stay so I am unable to comment on the quality of the food at this hotel.

Out of all this though, one of the main 'surprises' we got during our stay was the price for a travel pass to use buses, trams & trains in Dusseldorf. For the duration of our stay (3 nights), the pass cost us around €5 each and with the hotel being a fair distance away from all the action, we basically got our money back for the pass straight away as the tram lines were located at the end of the street.

All in all, a cracking hotel and would definitely recommend to others, even if there isn't an offer on to stay here. A nice, friendly hotel in a quiet, residential part of Dusseldorf.
