Service was excellent. Bags were carried up to the second floor (no elevator) and a tip refused, "its part of our service". The only bad part is the rooms are not air conditioned. Temperature during the day was in the eighties, making sleep uncomfortable with only a minimal breeze from one window. Included breakfast, offered a wide variety of excellent selections.

The hotel is around 15 minutes far by bus/car from the city. It's very nice and clean with friendly staff. The room I stayed was very comfortable with lots of elements very well arranged, with an excellent bathroom. The Bistro with very good food and full of choices breakfast, and again very friendly staff. Overall a very good and not expensive place to stay.

Although Hotel Bakenhof is outside the city, it is but a short bike ride to the glorious centre of old Munster. As bike enthusiasts we are aiming to return for the facilities to ride bikes in relative safety in both town and country. As for the hotel, we found it very clean, comfortable, friendly, and, for its facilities, excellent value. Rarely have we seen a buffet breakfast as extensive and delicious as this! We spent three days at the Bakenhof and regret not adding a couple of extra days to our itinerary here.
The food in the restaurant is certainly as good as other reviewers noted. I was especially pleased with the fish and pointed cabbage - unusual in a restaurant, but in contrast to experiences elsewhere with cabbage, this was genuinely outstanding in terms of both taste and texture. I meant to ask for the recipe, but forgot.
Service in the bistro was slow on the second occasion we ate there, but as food is freshly prepared, I guess that's OK.

Stayed for three nights, ate in the Bistro and the restaurant and found Bakenhof to be a very comfortable place to be.
Everything was very well organised, lots of thoughtful elements and details, everywhere from the room and bathroom layouts and fittings to the breakfast choices. Excellent quality food, fresh and well prepared. Professional and friendly service in the restaurants and reception, a happy, helpful team.
Not in the city centre but the hotel is open about this so no quarrels there.
Very hard to fault our stay, so I won't even try.
