We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way to Frankfurt. It was clean and very conveniently located right across the street from the train station. It was a short walk to the downtown area - about 15 minutes to find a variety of restaurants. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay or for business.

Newer hotel with nicely appointed rooms. The room and bath were very clean and the bed comfortable. The only thing we found fault with is that the towels were very very thin.

The location is only 1 block from the train station. Exit the train station using the west entrance and walk directly away from the building on the left side of the parking loop to the first traffic light. The hotel is just across the street and to your right.

Tip: The Starbucks at the train station has free wifi.

I have stayed just for one night in Intercity Mainz. I decide to stay in Mainz because there is the Automechanika fair in Frankfurt and the prices of the hotels in Frankfurt was enormous high! The hotel is located at the back of the main Mainz train station. There are signs in the train station that can guide you very easy. Check in process was fast and staff was all good. I get a very good rate (105 € with breakfast) from Tui.de considered the price they have same quality hotels in Frankfurt. I have a double room with a large very comfortable bed, excellent bathroom with hot water at any time. Breakfast was very good also. Variety and quality of the products was top. If you want to walk to the centre of the town is a little far on foot but if the weather is good you will enjoy it.
I can give you some tips if you want to travel by train from Frankfurt train station or from the FRA airport. The cost of the ticket is 7,30 € one way. Just take the S8 line and in about 40 to 45 minutes you will be in Mainz. Do not forget that only S8 line can take you to Mainz. S1 or S9 can take you to Wiesbaden but not in Mainz, so be careful. Also not to forget, if you want some snacks or something to drink, just outside Mainz train station on the left there is a REWE supermarket. From there you can buy all you want in very low prices. Everyone who has travel Germany know well the price of the water! IC Mainz is a very good hotel and I suggest it to any one who wants to stay in this beautiful town. Hope you find my review helpful to you.

Room Tip: High floor as always is better.

The hotel is located within walking distance to the train and tram station so it's conveniently accessible with public transportation. The room and the bathroom are nice and clean. The only thing disappointing was the service at the reception desk during check-in and check-out. Somehow they were not able to handle two or more guests in parallel. Since it took them so long to print my receipt, I wasn't able to have breakfast.

We needed a hotel close to the rail station as we were arriving around 10 p.m. and needed to leave early to walk to the Rhine for a boat trip. The hotel was a couple of blocks away but it was a safe walk at that time of night and the checkin process was seamless and quick. The room was gorgeous and the bed was super comfortable. The bath and shower facilities were perfect. Super clean adn comfortable. However, we were told at check in the hours of the breakfast and, stupidly, assumed it was included in the cost of the room. Next morning we were pleased with the buffet selection but then got the check to sign and it was 15 Euros each. Not realy worth that much. (Unlike the Hotelissimo in Munich). We didn't have time to find another place for breakfast so just paid up and went our way. We had about a half hour walk through Mainz to the boat dock on the Rhine but it was a pleasant walk through a beautiful city. Wish we had more time to spend there.
