“Beautiful old cathedral”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

This huge cathedral was started to be built around 800, but is still in use today! It has some nice artwork, a history of church leaders in stained glass, a beautiful courtyard and is the central structure for the city square that hosts markets, fairs and is the hub of old town. Worth a stop. Only issue is I could not find any of the on site brochures in English. Will try a tour next time to learn more.

“Worth a Visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

For me, this cathedral was not as spectacular as Speyer but it is still very interesting and full of history. Like Speyer and Worms it is mainly a Romanesqe building. It is not altogether easy to find the way in (!) but look for the cathedral shop in the main square and you will find the entrance. As I say, well worth a visit.

“Well Worth the Visit!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

If you go here for a visit try the organ recital which seems to be monthly. Remember there is a separate entrance for here and if in doubt ask. There is a two tier pricing and it is well worth the additional price as you are closer to the organist which adds to the intimate appeal. Acoustics are excellent and you will find it a very enjoyable experience!

“Eclectic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

Here is a Cathedral that has an eclectic mix of styles and small pockets of interest all over. It feels like more than one building and reminds me a little of York Minster . Well worth a visit by any standards .
