lovely room (although the window above the bath between the bathroom and bedroom may not suit all) overlooking the park. the pool is rather a lounging around in pool than a swimming pool but was empty and I would have liked time to spend in it! The gym was disappointing, the gym was half a room overlooking the roof with the hot tub set in the middle of the deck (not in use in January!) but the room did not have the lights on and I could only work out how to turn on two bits of equipment and one of them was broken, so not great. liked the tropical area and walkway. Bar was cosy but underground and baking hot even in January. Wifi was very expensive and not many options

Poor Gym and Wifi. Not a business trip hotel.
Restaurant okay, Rooms okay,
Could really do with putting some sort of a gym/leisure area.
Internet wifi was not freely available and very expensive to purchase access cards that did not give a good speed.

Stayed 5 nights in November for a business meeting! Located inside a park with beautiful garden this hotel is quit isolated from outside world. Ideal place to have a business meeting or training etc.
Rooms were standard with basic facilities. Breakfast rooms were quit compact with not enough tables if there are many guests. So you may have to share the table which was acceptable to me. There is nothing much to day than I prefer to stay in Hyatt than here~!

I rather stay in Mainz then in a Frankfurt Airport hotel when flying out, train connection is good and this hotel has two restaurants, fantastic breakfast, quiet new rooms ( I try to get the comfort rooms instead of Standard). Prices are often lower in Mainz then in Frankfurt and pubs and restaurants within walking distance, This hotel is located in a park and has a very good pool and sauna as well as a tropical garden with two funny parrots and a leguan.
The fish tanks are impressive and lots of places for kids to play in the hotel and outside.
The Intercity or the Hyatt are also recommendable.

Beautiful view of the river in Mainz; excellent resturant, and the traditional beer garden is outstanding in the evening. Rooms were adequate in space but well furnished. The only somewhat negative was that the rooms had no air conditioning; thus on a warm day you come back to a very hot room. Granted the nights in Germany cool down to a comfortable level but the interim between comfortable and hot is a few hours. Once comfortable you will sleep well and awake with the birds singing and a feint background of the train going by. Really a very good experience. No time to experience the pool but the grounds are very nice and shared with a local park with excellent running and bike paths. Not that I had time for either. Nice experience from the chains in the lovely city.

Room Tip: If during the summer - call ahead and have them open the windows to the room to begin the cooling pr...

Overall I have spent 3 weeks with the Favorite for business trips. The best time to go is when the Biergarten is open. It's wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the warmer weather and the views near Volkspark. The breakfast is by far the best breakfast I have enjoyed at any hotel in Europe. Fresh breads, meats, cheeses, eggs, fruits, and many other options. The rooms are the only thing lacking here. They are outdated. It is comfortable enough, but would be a much higher rated hotel with these upgrades.

Stayed in Hotel for 1 night for business trip. Arriving late in evening check-in went very smoothly. The room was clean and spacious with excellent shower. The room was located in corridor from lobby to retaurant which caused noice in the morning from people going to restaurant. The hotel has an excellent restaurant which was closed during my stay. Bierstube Services dishes also but the choice is limited. Breakfast was OK. Many flavours to choose from. The breakfast room is very small but you can enjoy your breakfast also in the cigar-lounge. Ididn't smell anything. Check-out went OK. Overall: a good stay for an reasonable price.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back with a excellent view on no noise from the street.
