This hotell has a calm and relaxing atmosphere and the staff is fantastic, so caring and obliging!
The room was clean and nice and the bathroom was very nice. Our room had a balcony which was nice to sit on in the evenings.
Unfortenately our room didn't have air condition and it was 32 degrees outside. They put a fanner in the room which helped a lot. The location of our room also allowed us to sleep with all the windows open.
The hotel is situated a 10-15 minutes walk from the city center, in the middle of a villa street which made it nice and quiet. It had a nice terrace where we could have breakfast or dinner or a drink. The breakfast was great!
They have an indoor pool but we didn't use it because it was so hot in there and that didn't appeal to us.
If I'll come to Trier again I would definately stay here.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was a good size with air conditioning, plenty of storage space and a super bathroom with a good shower. Staff were very friendly most fluent in English. Parking is free and there is additional parking down the street. Hotel is situated on a quiet street just outside the town centre on a hill with panoramic views of Trier. Excellent pool and sauna area. Breakfast was excellent, we had dinner on the terrace both nights- delicious, and a lovely setting. There is a real family run feeling to this place. I would recommend a stay here if you are visiting anywhere in the Frankfurt area. Also handy for a trip to Luxembourg.

In early June, the 5 of us (parents, 2 small children and grandma) stayed in this lovely hotel with a beautiful view. Our rooms(2), each had a small balcony overlooking the hillside and the indoor pool. The rooms were very clean, quiet with beautiful, modern bathrooms. They had two parking lots, one adjacent and the other down the road. The breakfast, with a large selection of foods, was served in cozy rooms next to the outdoor patio. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This place is really nice. They have a sauna and a pool and a nice tiny Koi pond out front. I got the basic double room which is nice but there is no ceiling fan and no a/c so it got warm and since there is no screen we couldn't leave the balcony windows open all night. The breakfast, however, was superb! Sausages, juices, germany foods, breads and rolls, cereal, definitely a nice spread for a restaurant. Me and the wife enjoyed it and would stay again!

Room Tip: Go for the best rooms, I would have gone for it if they weren't booked full!

This hotel was a welcome surprise. It has beautiful rose gardens, free parking on site and a friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant caters for other meals.
There is a view from the dining room out over hills. Staff are very attentive and the food is very good. It is a short 15 minute walk to the Old Town with its historical buildings.
There is also a swimming pool (which we enjoyed) and sauna in the basement. Rooms have an individual theme and the furnishings are of a high standard.

Room Tip: There is no elevator so be prepared to use stairs. You could request a room on the ground floor.

Stayed for 1 night last weekend on a weekend break to Germany. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We arrived early and had a coffee before heading off into town for a look around. They provided a map and explained the easy 10min walk to the town. On our return we checked into a very comfortable room. Not super lux but clean and nicely decorated with nice views over the gardens and town. Had a drink in the hotel bar and chatted to the waitress, she recommended several restaurants, made a reservation and booked us a taxi. The restaurant was excellent too. Breakfast on Sunday was top notch, wide variety and beautifully presented. And the only decent cup of tea I have had outside the UK! Would highly recommend for a visit to Trier or as a base for a tour of the local area.

My wife and I stayed at the Villa Hugel on our first visit to Trier recently. The experience was delightful. The hotel sits on a hillside and can be a bit tricky to find since it is nestled in a residential neighborhood atop a winding road.
But it is worth it.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and eager to please.
Our room was quite clean, modern, nicely decorated and very comfortable.
The restaurant was very good.
Villa Hugel is a gem.
