“Beautiful modern stained glass”
Reviewed 28 November 2013

The church was bombed in WW2, so presumably the original glass was destroyed. The modern replacement (?50s) is simply stunning, showing how ancient architecture and modern art can be good neighbours. The two windows above the entrance door are very moving.

“A Quiet Suprise”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

Please go here for the beauty and grace of the Church. We enjoyed it more than the Cathedral. The high ceilings and painted domes are beautiful. Quite a site.

“The Beauty of a Hidden Gem”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

In the shadow of the huge cathedral "Der Dom" this extraordinary church is often forgotten by tourists. It very symmetrical layout enfolds like a rose blossom. It reminds me of the Templer churches. Take your time to explore the walls and the ceiling and then sit down and just breath the calmness and peace of this jewel.
The church is recently restored, hence everything is in really fine condition. If you are lucky you'll hear some spheric sounds from some artist playing some instrument like distant harmonic sounds from heaven.

“Magnificent Gothic Church”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

Liebfrauenkirche is a well preserved jewel of mediaeval architecture. The interior details, altars and wood carvings are in good condition. The stained glass windows were lost, but the overall impact of this wonderful church is magnificent.
