“Wonderful relaxation and excellent food”
Reviewed 7 February 2012

This hotel is one of my favorite when I want to take a few days off!
It is a big old building, but that makes it quite charming! If you go there the first time, you may have problems with the orientation. It's quite big and kind of a maze. There are two different elevators which don't stop at every level, but in no time you'll find out! The rooms are very cosy, and a lot of rooms have been renovated lately with a perfect match of old and new furniture. There's also a flat screen TV and some of the rooms have bathtubs.
There are several kinds of rooms for every budget. They are equipped with everything you need. The beds are perfect and at night it's not noisy at all. The staff is very courteous and professional.

The Spa is also very nice.
There is a "Hammam", an ordinary Sauna with 100 C° a room where you can sit on stone which is heated, a foot bath and a relaxation room with waterbeds you can have a nap on. You feel very comfortable in this area, it's clean and quiet! Of course you can get free towels, bathrobe and slippers. There are also some special showers (massage shower, rain-shower, fog shower, ice you can put on you body (if you feel like). There was just one shower which didn't work. The swimming pool is a little small, but it's big enough to have a little swim and to cool down a bit.

They have a large offer of different massages, special peeling-baths, cream packages and facial treatments...You have to order in advance. Its also possible to book a whole package with a special menu, wellness treatments and overnight stay which can be very interesting. I highly recommend the shoulder, neck and back massage!

Last but not least the restaurant which is delicious! The service is very friendly and quite fast. The food they offer is absolutely excellent, and there is something for everybody, also vegetarians!!!! They make their own "weinbrand" which I think is delicious too, and I'm very demanding in those things. They have also a very interesting collection of national and international wines.

On Sundays you can have breakfast until half past 2 pm, and the breakfast buffet is so fantastic and rich. All you wish and all you can eat! :)

The hotel is 5-10 minutes away from Trier city-centre. Not to far away but far enough not to be disturbed! There is also a parking area for free (outside and inside).

You can't get more for you money!

Room Tip: Just have a look at the pictures and the description. I had several rooms and it was always quiet, c...

The Eurener-hof Hotel in Trier may not be the 'newest' by design or facilities, however it's real
advantage is that magic ability to maintain the warm feeling of home, away from home !
it has been pleasure staying there, great location with car parking, superb buffet breakfast,
and further more great evening resturant with warm cosy atmosphere -
warm reccomendation, reanonable costs, love to visit again !!

We went with friends to this hotel outside of Trier to spend a weekend christmas shopping in town. The hotel is easy to find and has a private parking space and underground parking. The moment you enter the hotel you find yourself in a cosy, very characteristic hotel with an inviting atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. In november throughout the hotel you will find christmas decorations with statues, large paintings and fine details that make this worth a 4* hotel. One of the stars of the hotel is the super wellness in roman style with 2 large saunas, a smaller steam cabin, cosy water beds in the resting area, sufficient showers and on top a small swimming pool with large windows giving view on the parking (a small drawback if you don't like people looking into the pool).

The restaurant has 2 dining rooms with good quality food (sunday evening a 6 coarse menu for €26 is served), rather higher priced food on the other days (gammon stew €24) but with a great breakfast buffet in a very cosy setting with super service.

The hotel bar is a very typical setting with lots of wood, candy jars for children and several large jars with local schnaps.
The hotel has older furbished rooms (typical oak furniture, flower paper) as well as very modern lounge style rooms and suites. All rooms are very clean and have sufficient space and a flat screen tv. For a quiet location ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

Near the entrance of the hotel you will find a bus stop where bus 81 takes you in 15 minutes to the centre of the city (ask for group tickets if you are 4 or more). Very convenient as you all parking in the city are payable.

A recommendable place where we will certainly return to.

Room Tip: ask for one of the newer rooms. We had room 226 which is at the side of the hotel near the streetsid...

Privately owned very comfortable hotel on the outskirts of Trier. Excellent room standard and good spa facilities. Very good choice of dining which is fortunate because there is nothing else in the immediate vicinity and it's a taxi ride into town. We found the room really comfortable and the service was brilliant. I would stay in this hotel again, especially if I was touring.

Charming traditional penzione located on the edge of Trier. Fantastic breakfast. Great spa facilities (although spa services themselves were full and seemed to require booking in advance). Helpful staff.

The only thing I would change is the window between the bedroom and bathroom of our room. If you're going to have a window, at least put a curtain on it!

We had a nice stay at the hotel. Atmosphere of hotel was traditional with lots of brown wood and decorations on the wall. The De Luxe rooms were however spacious and had modern furniture, and -of course- very clean. The staff was friendly and service-oriented. We enjoyed drinks at the bar. The hotel has a bistro and two restaurants where we enjoyed a nice typical german dinner. We can surely recommend it. But don't expect the hotel to be located in the woods judging from the pictures, it is in the middle of a (quiet) town.

This is a charming hotel with well appointed and spacious rooms (in the superior class we booked). It has a lot of regional charm and a friendly efficient service. I can recommend this hotel to my fellow travelers!
