This hotel is across the river from the center of Trier - about a 20-minute walk to the Porta Nigra. Hotel was quiet - as others have noted, the rooms are actually in a building behind the restaurant/hotel on the busy street. Staff was friendly and helpful. Internet worked very well and there were some English language stations on TV. Included breakfast was very tasty. Only negative is they do not have lifts and we were put on the second floor and had to drag suitcases up two flights of narrow steps. They did have carpet pieces glued to the marble steps so they weren't as slippery. Parking on the street worked well.

This is a family run hotel where one feels really welcome. Although the hotel entrance is on a very busy road, the rooms are in another building facing a tiny back-street which is a heaven of tranquillity. Room was very clean and the added advanatge of a spacious balcony with table and chairs, which can be used on warm evenings. Another advantage is the restaurant in the hotel which serves excllent grilled meat dishes from the Balkans, with large portions and, as the rooms, very good value for money. Make sure you try the Macedonian coffe at the end, a kind of Turkish coffe served with an excellent pear liquor next to it. If you are goin to Trier, definitely consider this hotel!

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a room to the back street

We booked this hotel as we couldn't find any other hotel at a reasonable rate for the date we were in Trier. The hotel is situated at the river which was another factor working in its favor.
From the outside, the hotel looks really small. But my overall experience has been positive.
The staff is very warm and friendly. The hotel has an old apartment like feel. The rooms are clean, spacious and offer proper lights in the room which is rare these days in the modern so called boutique hotels. The breakfast was nice and adequate.

The only negative with the hotel is its atleast 15-20 mins walk from city center / station. There are not many eating options nearby though the hotel itself has a nice menu. Unfortunately didnt have any vegetarian options hence we couldnt try it.
Overall I will rate it value for money.

Room Tip: They have hotel rooms overlooking the river as well.

Very nice for both short and longer stay.
More then nice, freindly owners.
Not modern, not luxury but warm, clean and not expensive with good breakfast.
20 minutes walking distance to the center of the City and just under the hill with the most beautiful panorama- view at the city and surroundings- Markus Berg and Maria Monument(30 minutes walk satrting just behind the hotel).
If I had to come to Trier once again for sure I ma going to make reservation in that hotel.

I booked mainly on the promise of secure parking for my motorbike and in this was not disappointed- there is a dry, secure garage with roller shutters off the rear courtyard. The property is located on the western side of the river. It is easy to find on arrival but a good 20 minute walk to the city centre- no problem as the weather was lovely and I enjoyed the exercise as a good excuse to build up a thirst for some fine German beer! The room was at the rear and quiet. Maybe a bit spartan but large enough, clean with double bed, small TV, reasonable storage, en suite WC/shower with wash hand basin, mirror etc and decent lighting options. My rate included breakfast and this was served in a pleasant, bright annex off the main dining room. It was self service and typically "continental" with various cold cuts, types of bread, boiled eggs, flasks of beverages, jam, orange juice etc. The main dining room was in the tavern itself, laid out with individual tables, and pleasant enough. I ate there one evening and found the choice varied, interesting (Bulgarian specialities feature prominently) and pretty good quality. Think of a tavern with rooms rather than a hotel and you have the gist. I was made very welcome and the bike seemed to like it too. A good base for an enyoyable 2 day visit to this lovely city.

Room Tip: One at the back will be further away from street traffic

This hotel I would only recomment if you weren't able to find anything more suitable in downtown Trier. I went to Trier with a friend to spent some days away from all the "fuzz".
Trier really is a spectacular city with ample options for the lover of history and impressive buildings. We arrived late and weren't able to find a room very quickly so decided on Hotel Feilen-Wolff. The price was agreeable, 30 euros pp for a room with two beds. The room was simple but clean. This hotel hasn't seen an interior decorator since the mid -seventees of the last century...Worst part was sleeping....we had a room at the frontside of the place and life starts early in Trier...and it starts noisy....
Breakfast was included in the price and actually good in quality

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the noisy frontstreet
