Nice, small family hotel in the northern part of Dresden. All rooms are the same size. Nice king size bed, TV (mostly German channels). There is free internet access, The bathroom is small, but OK.The only problem is access to the shower is narrow because of a glass wall.
The breakfast buffet is plenty, but the scrambled eggs were to dry and with no bacon or sausages on the side.
The evening meals is a 3 course dinner with different German themes.
There is a bus close to the hotel. You need to change to a cable car to come to the center of Dresden. Or you could go by taxi, which is about 10 Euros.
We enjoyed a walk around the inner city, where the Frauenkirche (Our Lady's church) is one of the highlights. It was bombed completely February 1945 and was rebuilt and finished about 10 years ago.
Also, we enjoyed the opera Rigoletto at the Semper Opera. The Semper Opera was also rebuilt after being bombed in 1945.
There are a lot of different museums in the inner city, just a short walk away from Frauenkirche and Semper Opera as well as a lot of "Galleries" - which are small malls with lots of restaurants etc. hidden behind regular house facades.
