“Loved the pampering”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

We don't normally stay at these above average star hotels, but this was a case of a business set up combined with our own further two nights. And it was very worthwhile. The hotel is in a beautiful condition in a central part of town, not too far from the Marktplatz. Access to the carpark is the park behind the hotel and the parks are almost right by the hotel back door, with very easy smooth accesst. A stunning aquarium lines the entrance and there is a lift to all floors. Underneath is a 'wellness' centre (ugh - hate the wod) with 2 saunas, sun beds, massage area and 2 Jacuzzis. Public areas are extremely inviting with a library and foyer area as well as a meeting place and bar. The bedrooms are large with elegant and top quality fittings. Beds are super comfortable and a variety of lamps and lights are very useful. There is plenty of storage space for belongings, a safe and excellent quiet air-conditioning. A wide-screen TV works extremely well (especially when viewing the world cup final!) and the rooms were spotlessly clean. The breakfast was up to usual German standards and beyond with no omissions. Staff were attentive and friendly although their English was not fluent beyond the usual run of commonplace greetings. We were so glad we opted to extend our stay here and relished the extra bit of pampering, at no great cost.
On the downside, access to the hotel by car is from the rear in another street rather than the postal or physical address. Customers should be told this so they know what to put in a sat nav as the desitination. We spent quite some trying to figure out how to get there as the front of the hotel looks out into a Pedestrian Only zone. Parking and meals are also not included in the room price. The WiFi was free but was rather unreliable and difficult to connection to, with frequent disconnections.

Room Tip: If you have a window over-looking the pedestrian area, shut the window at night and leave the air co...

Great location, friendly staff, nice room, free mini bar, what's not to like? Thanks!! :-) I'm here for the 2014 Händel Festspiele and definitely it was a really nice experience. I have no complaints whatsoever. Thanks again!!

What surprised me when I walked into my room was the size of it, was honestly bigger than some apartments I've lived in. Nicely decorated and finished. The breakfast was good albeit a little expensive. Parking is good and the hotel is a short walk from the town centre.

Thought this trip was going to be a nightmare as the booking website uses the old photograph of the conference centre which is now not operational -so turn up there and you get a nasty surprise but walk through the centre and onto the high street and you will find the real hotel . Great rooms nice touches wouldnt include the condom gift in the room but maybe thats just me. Food great and a really nice sophisticated bar and superb bar service -dont miss out on the italian restaurant next door which is great value for money. Watch out for the odd parking -but once you work it out its good

We stayed here on vacation while visiting friends in Halle. We were somewhat hesitant, not knowing the area. The staff was great. The room, a junior suite, was very spacious, clean, and well appointed. Breakfast buffet was very good. The front desk staff was extremely nice and helpful.

2 minor items -- as others have said, the parking garage is hard to find. Ask in advance for the exact street address for your GPS. And the wireless internet in the room is very slow.

A great hotel -- no hesitation on recommending.

Very nice, should be upgraded back to 5 Star, they are at that level. Very nice breakfast, very nice decor and our room was top notch. Air conditioning was ok, parking was a little hard to find, ask reception for address, it is at back of hotel but need to make several blocks to get there.
All in all, this is a top rate hotel and when in the area will look only at this hotel. The price we paid was lower than expected.

Stayed here on business but would come back for pleasure. Warm courteous welcome, lovely decor, individual styling rather than an anonymous corporate style, comfortable spacious bedroom and bathroom. Incredibly good value for money.
