The hotel is located in a nice old building with high ceilings and not too small rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean. The bathroom is very small. The breakfast is OK, but nothing special. The rooms do not have air-con, which we really missed since the weather was very hot. Overall it's a good hotel but not worth the high price.

Room Tip: The room sizes are very different / probably best to ask to see the room first.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a trip to visit family. We wanted a hotel in a good part of Halle where the food and comfort would be of good quality. We were not disappointed. It is set in a cul-de-sac in a respectable district, where no noise disturbed us. The room was fairly large, with a clean modern bathroom. The beds were comfortable and we were surprised to find a balcony attached which overlooked the gardens at the back.
The breakfasts were included in a very reasonable price and were a highlight of the hotel, with hot and cold buffet and an extensive range of meats, cheeses, and salmon. The fruit salad was superb.
The atmosphere was good with a big effort having been made to transform some rooms into theatre theme rooms. These would not appeal to anyone who is not a theatre buff but did mean the corridors and stairs had interesting decor. Although in a quiet location, it is very easy to access anywhere in the city from nearby tram stops, especially using No. 7 from the Museum a 100 yards away.
The staff were extremely friendly and available 24 hours a day.
Overall I should recommend the Apart Hotel to anyone who seeks peace and quiet and a high level of food, comfort and facilities. We shall stay there next time we visit the city.
Only drawbacks were one disappointing evening meal, the steepness of the stairs up to reception and the non use of the vacuum cleaner in our bedroom.

Room Tip: Rooms with balconies are available at the back

This hotel is situated a little outside of the city center but near parts of the university and a hospital (near the Paulus Viertel, or Paulus neighborhood, with lots of superbly restored art deco buildings). I stayed there for the second time as guest of the university, and was equally charmed with this turn of the century building transformed into a delightful, highly atmospheric hotel. One can use the public transportation to get there, but the last time I walked back to the train station, which took me ca. half an hour. The room was not super elegant, but it met all my expectations. Nice bed, good bathroom, flat tv., while my view toward the back was not the best. The reception area, one flight up (no elevator) is wonderful, charming, authentic. Friendly staff, available 24 hours, so they want you to leave the key with them (good, it's too heavy anyway). WiFi is available, but works only in the lobby., ir awwma There, however, they have a terminal, which I used, and it worked fine. Breakfast is in the transformed cellar (a little crammed, but just fine), and it offers the whole spread, whatever you can imagine. Nothing missing; though the cakes were a little dry. Fresh fruit, yogurth, quark, cheese, sausages, the whole gamut, and very authentic German; I loved it and ate too much.
This is a hotel with true charm, high standards, and a very friendly atmosphere. One almost feels at home there. But mind you, they do have a sauna and a wellness center (which I did not try out).
