The room was clean with an excellent shower. Unfortunately, although there was a multi-channel TV, there was no tea/coffee making facility. Although our room was on the ground floor there were several steps up to the main entrance, which would be difficult if you were disabled. However there was a lift to other floors.
The continental breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, but there were no evening meals available.
The location was good because it was only 200m from the bus station, which we used, and 300m from the railway station. It was about 500m from the main town features.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Some spoke good Enlish, and they were happy to organise taxis for us for longer journeys.
We came just to sleep one night and asked for room with three beds. We got an apartment with two bedrooms and a large bathroom. The location is great, breakfast delicious and the price is very convenient.
Clean and quiet room.
My friend and I stayed here for two days. The room was spacious, sparkling clean, and comfortable. I thought we were getting a room with two beds, but instead there was just a double. Thankfully, the room was actually almost a suite (I think it was a slightly upgraded room), with a couch in one room, so my friend slept on the couch. I would advise someone to ask about the arrangements if I were traveling with a platonic friend. The room also had a little balcony, overlooking a backyard, which was very pleasant. The staff were very nice and helpful when I had a travel question. The breakfast was really good, too.
The hotel also has a perfect location. We wheeled our suitcases about two blocks from the train station, and we were there, as easy as it could be. Just a few blocks away was a beautiful park--perfect for an evening walk or an early morning jog--and just past that is old town Lubeck.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for one week, while on holiday in the area. The hotel is clean and nice. The staff are friendly. I think you pay for what you get, I would have expected more for my money in the UK. The room we had was on the second floor (there is a lift), it was described as a superior double and was quite spacious, including a sofa, chair, desk, wardrobe and shelf unit. It had patio doors leading onto a balcony that overlooked the gardens, with some plastic chairs and a table on it, but the balcony was very overlooked by the surrounding buildings. The breakfast was good, served between 7am and 10am (although you can arrange to have breakfast earlier if required). The hotel is very close to the bus station (just across the road) and a short walk from the centre of Lubeck.
Some complaints. The room service (serving only drinks) was slow and expensive. There was no kettle in the room, so any hot drinks had to be ordered from room service. We booked online and it said that there was free wireless internet, but we were made to pay.
