Our four nights here were very enjoyable; great room, very good breakfast, superb pool, perfect location. The only drawback with a room overlooking the street without sound-proofing (very old building - not surprising) is that night life in Cordoba does go on ... Still, thats what siestas are for aren't they? Not for those who need perfect nights' sleep though.

Room Tip: Check out whether your room overlooks the street.

We stayed in the same hotel chain in Seville and we loved it, so we decided to come to the same hotel in Cordoba. Hotel is located in the centre, close to cathedral and a famous street with flowers on walls of white houses. We lived in a superior room, which was huge and nice, with huge bathroom with pretty shower, bathrobes and slippers.
Hotel is made in traditional old style and is very clean. It has a pool, towels you can get in reception.

A bad thing is that there is no wifi in rooms and in public areas it was not working.

The hotel is quite small, located just inside the old city. It's a group of medieval houses which have been converted very well into accommodation of a good standard. The rooms are not big but have character. The thick walls make in-room wifi an impossibility, but you get quite good connection once you're outside the room. From our room we could see the top of cathedral/mezquita, which is only 2 minutes walk away. Helpful and friendly staff, a nice atmosphere, excellent location and a beautiful property. If we go back to Cordoba one day, we'd stay at this hotel again.

My teenage daughter and I stayed at this hotel for two nights in August 2014. We are accustomed to staying at very nice hotels (mostly Ritz-Carltons in the US) and couldn't have been happier with our choice in Cordoba. The room was not huge or incredibly fancy but it was very quaint and very Spanish. The beds were comfortable. The courtyard was gorgeous and the pool was relaxing. The hotel is wonderfully located. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good if somewhat basic. The wifi worked fine for us in Room 3 although we did have to go out in the courtyard to use Skype. We arrived by train in Cordoba and took a taxi to the hotel (6 or 7 euros). The taxi stand to go back to the train station is a very short walk away and there always seemed to be a taxi available. The old city of Cordoba is small and you can easily walk to everything from this hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

I booked this hotel for my boyfriend and I for our two night stay in Cordoba. We have been in Andalusia before but this was our first time in this city. The central location in the Juderia delivered; we had no need to take cabs to see the main points of interest or to go to dinner. The Mezquita, Banos Arabes, horse show, and many great tapas bars and restaurants are minutes away on foot. The building is an interesting cobble of several old palace structures and maintains some lovely outdoor courtyards. It also offers a great pool in one of the outdoor spaces which is a lovely respite from the heat. The rooms were elegantly furnished with a Renaissance appearance. The bathrooms were generous by European standards with a separate stall shower and large bathtub. The staff at the desk were generally helpful in holding baggage and booking some tickets to our horse show. However, we had some challenges with other requests and there was somewhat of a lack of understanding or clumsiness regarding requests of the front desk agent despite communication in both English and conversational Spanish, which has not been a problem for me at other hotels and restaurants throughout the region. Overall I would highly recommend and would return.

The hotel completely exceeded my expectations, with lots of courtyards, fountains, flowers and oozing with character. As a family of four, we had two rooms close together which overlooked one of the courtyards. It felt very Spanish (to someone from Stratford Upon Avon in the UK). The rooms were good sized and nicely appointed and lack of Wifi was a bonus as it kept my son away from his iPad and my husband from his emails. As we had a car, I was a bit concerned about parking, however there is a 24 hour multistory about five minutes away on the Ave del Dr Fleming which is safe and costs about 12 Euros a day and we got a five day pass for 38 euros which allows you in and out of the car park. The location of the hotel is excellent, five minutes away from the Mezquite and situated in the heart of the barrios which is handy for bars and restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel was pricey and situated in a cellar, but there is a good cafeteria two minutes away which serves a good selection of breakfast items. Staff were really nice and helpful all the time. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room on the second floor overlooking the restaurant and fountain, which was really quiet as...

The good:
- perfect location for tourists
- beautifully maintained patios
- lovely cool pool
- helpful staff
- awesome air conditioning
- well appointed and modern bathroom

The bad:
- wifi officially only works in the patios and lounge, although it was mostly fine in our room. A pretty slow connection though.
- The only window in the room was patio-facing so lacked privacy with the curtain open but was gloomily dark with it closed.

The ugly:
- I felt apprehensive about other reviewers' comments about street noise so was pleased to find we'd got a room on the "quiet" side of the hotel and two floors up as well. No such luck. Room-to-room noise was minimal (apart from the hotel's unique "tornado toilets" as we christened them - so loud and vicious in their flush that you could hear them from two rooms away!). Room-to-hotel noise was the killer here - awful: squeaking door hinges, slamming doors, any conversations outside (drunken at 1 or 2am or families at 7am), luggage being pulled along, anything dropped in the patio areas etc etc etc. and all at the actual volume. This was probably due to the one window being double glazed but the door having no insulation at all - in fact with the lights out, sunlight poured through three of the four sides of the closed door it fitted so poorly. Not a place for a great night's sleep, unfortunately.

A shame as this is a beautiful, historic and interesting hotel, but I'd think twice about booking here again.
