“Nice but still in starting up condition”
Reviewed 13 August 2010

This sister hotel of the Sevilla Casas de la Juderia is rated 5 stars, but it's definitely not worth it as the Sevilla hotel is rated 4 stars. The rooms are beautifully decorated but they don't have double glass. As the hotel is located in the middle of the noisy Juderia-barrio it is impossible to have a quiet night. To us this was a great deception.
It has wonderful patio's and the swimming pool opened late June, but there are not enough facilities to sun around the swimming pool. As the plants and flowers are still very young the patio's don't have the same charm as the Sevilla ones.
The city of Cordoba itself was also a deception. While Sevilla has made itself in the middle of the 21st century without losing its charm, Cordoba is still very 20st century if you know what I mean.

I stayed at Las Casas De La Juderia for one night in July 2010 with a friend. We payed 155 Euros for a standard twin room, breakfast not included.

No doubt about it, this hotel is luxurious. It is a grand maze of white-washed buildings and a beautiful open-air floor plan. Our room was quite small (barely big enough to hold two twin beds) but the bathroom was enormous and terribly fancy with a jacuzzi bathtub, shower, separate toilet room, two sinks, and lots of high-end toiletries. The hotel is less than a five-minute walk from the Mosque, yet it is slightly separate from the main tourist throngs surrounding the immediate blocks of the Mosque which is nice. The hotel is also merely one half-block from the town's taxi stand, making hailing a cab to the train station very convenient.

After a long morning of sight-seeing, my friend and I returned to our hotel room exhausted. We were going to take a siesta, but spotted a gorgeous pool within the hotel and spent the afternoon pool-side instead. This was our favorite part of Las Casas De La Juderia, and a true highlight of our trip! The pool is immaculate, with fancy lounge chairs, big towels, and cheerful flower planters -- just a great place to relax and cool off under the hot Spain sun.

Las Casas De La Juderia was definitely a fun, luxurious hotel stay -- but was it really worth the money? I'm conflicted. I know there are cheaper options for hotels within Cordoba, so if you are on a budget, I would not recommend staying here. But, if money's not a problem or, like me, you have someone to split the bill with, go ahead and splurge with this fantastic hotel!

This hotel has a lot going for it: an excellent location in the old town, a few minutes from the incredibly beautiful cathedral and other historical buildings. The hotel is a maze of very attractive patio's and corridors. We arrived on a hot summer evening and were welcomed by an enthousiastic and very helpful young man behind the reception. He provided us with a map and several good tips concerning bars and restaurants. The room was very stylish and comfortable, but with a strange, unpleasant smell. Sadly, breakfast the next morning was a sad affair. An almost empty buffet, two aimless waiters and when we asked for some bread - a breakfast essential surely- we had to wait 10 minutes for a reheated ciabatta.

We stayed for two nights in Sevilla at Las Casas during an 8 day first trip to Spain. Las Casas is absolutely beautiful. There is nothing like it - the courtyards and tilework and ambience make it one of a kind. The service was excellent and the breakfast is totally worth the price - abundant and delicious. The rooms are generally spacious, although the beds not extremely comfy. The location is perfect - central to everything. Las Casas is a unique experience. The rooftop pool was delightul with the most comfortable loungers. Only downside is they don't open the pool until noon. Even though the rooms were quite traditional, the bathrooms were modern, with showers and jacuzzi tubs. It is also great that a wonderful cafe - Cafe Carmella - is right across the street, along with a newsstand that sells large bottles of water - very necessary in Sevilla in July! Wifi didn't work in the rooms and only somewhat in the lobby. All in all, a wonderful experience that we would highly recommend!

New hotel with a rabbit warren of 64 rooms in a series of attra tive ancient houses with numerous patios. Our junior suite 67-68 was huge; two excellent bathrooms with separate showers and jacuzzi tubs. Large closets. Bed large but on the firm side. Three windows looking out on green trees in the Campo Santo de los Martires, next to the Alcazar. Large sitting room with comfortable furniture. Helpful front desk.

Laundry service not the stated one-day but when I complained about not getting laundry back on the same day, they made my breakfasts free; a nice way to compensate. Bathrooms have no glasses; you have to use a wine glass from the well-stocked minibar to have a drink of water. Dinner in the restaurant the first night was a large disappointment: empty, very slow, food mediocre, waitress basically rude. This and the sparse breakfast buffet suggest a 4 star rating rather than the claimed 5 star.

Great location; only a couple interesting blocks to the mesquitza. Lots of good nearby restaurants, thankfully, including a couple within 50 meters.

We had a very difficult time finding the hotel as we drove in. Try to get detailed advice beforehand; just using a detailed map did not help much. My suggestion is to park in the Campo Santo de los Martires and walk through the arch, next to the carriage stand, to the adjacent hotel entrance. Actually, you can drive through the arch to the hotel, even though a sign suggests it is one way the other way.
Hotel valet parking, once you get there, is Euros 17.76 per night.

The room could hardly be more beautiful. It was stylish, had a generous and separate bath and shower, and plenty of storage. It is also located at the edge of one of the most beautiful parts of the old town. The staff was also terrific. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked online, and saw no representation about a pool, though while walking through the layered courtyards, we could see the equipment room where one had been. It apparently disappeared in the extensive and beautiful remodeling that has not yet completed. For us this hotel completely fulfilled our expectations, and the restaurant is superb.
