“Very stylish new hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2012

We stayed for two nights in early July. Extremely stylish hotel, very calm and quiet, with a lovely courtyard. Well positioned for strolling into the town centre with some good bars and restaurants nearby. I can heartily recommend Gazpacho tapas bar - we had some great food there and fabulous huge puddings. The breakfast at the hotel was great value for only 6 euros. Freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, a beautiful mix of melon and mint and choice of meat, jams etc with three huge pastires/bread pieces. We did find it hard to locate - and you need to get to the hotel in order to find the parking. I didn't really enjoy running around in 40 degree heat trying to find the building, but once done it is simple to park. Cordoba itself is beautiful, one of my favourite places in Andalucia. The Mezquita and Alcazar are must-sees.

This hotel is located in some of the oldest and nices places in Cordoba, along the riverbank and close to some of the town's nicest restaurants and tapas bars. My husband and I stayed here in early June, and loved the look and feel of this hotel. The owner gave us some great tips on where to eat, and his advice was spot on. Make sure you have dinner at Regardera (see Restaurant section) which is ten minute walk toward the city. And breakfast in the hotel is a must and worth the extra cost - it is fantastic: fresh juice, breads and coffee. Cordoba is a great town and not to be missed, neither is Viento 10.

The hotel is located down a quiet alley approximately 20 minutes slow walk from the main tourist centre of Cordoba. Upon arrival you would not know that there is a hotel behind the door apart from the small sign but on entering the building you walk into a beautiful courtyard area. We stayed in a ground floor superior double and as others have mentioned, there were no exterior windows but the room did have natural light which came through the painted and frosted doors and windows which opened directly onto the internal courtyard area. The room itself was large, the bed comfortable and the bathroom large and modern - a nice room but no view. I don't know if all rooms were like this but in our room the bathroom was separated from the bedroom by a glass wall. This gave a good view of the beautiful exposed brickwork in the bathroom but also meant there wasn't much privacy. Frosted panes covered the shower area but the bathroom door was clear glass meaning the person sitting on the bed or chair had a clear view of the other person sat on the toilet! It provided us with much amusement but could be embarrasing for couples who prefer a bit more privacy. There is also a large roof top terrace at this hotel. During our stay it was too hot to lay out but i can see this would be a calm and peaceful place to read or relax.

Thank you very much for your great and wide review.
The description of your room (double superior on ground floor) is very accurate and very complete.
I have learned from your experience and other guest experience too and we have covered the bathroom door with frosted panes, in order to give more intimacy.
I appreciate very much your time and your comments. Are very useful.
I hope to see you in next future.
Kind regards

The hotel is located in the old city and close to the river. It is a small house renovated with care and has something. I do not know why all these boutique hotels are so keen in presenting the bathroom and rooms as an integrated concept. You enter the room and have a sink on the left side - not very inspiring. The whole decoration and presentation are very sparse, no desk, the small tv on the wall at the height of 7 year old child. The house is not well presented at the entrance, you easily pass by. The rooms are large and also the beds, these are quite comfortable.
I am not sure whether the price is a bit too high for the rooms it offers. The owner/manager is a very friendly and accomodating person.

Thank you very much for your review.
I would like to make a small contribution to your description.
I would added " zen like", "simple decoration" where you describe as "sparse".
I like your comment when you say "... the entrance. you easily pass by ( the hotel)"
It is part of our style, attention, calm, time, silence, less, white,....
I would like to be your hotel in Cordoba next time and talk about styles, decoration, life...
Best regards

Gorgeous lobby and common area, unique design in rooms and bathrooms, excellent beds, great breakfast! Yes, the rooms are a bit dark because the skylights are small, but as travelers we spend most of our time outside during the day anyway.
Gerardo gave us fabulous recommendations for places to eat in Cordoba which lead to us having one of our best meals in our 4 week trip in Spain.

We stayed for 3 nights in a superior ground floor room and had a lovely experience. From when we made the reservation, owner Gerardo was extremely helpful, giving us advice about day trips we could do out of Cordoba and pre booking a guided wine tasting visit of Bodega Alvear.

The hotel is refreshingly located far enough from the Mezquita to be away from the crowds, but an easy walking distance to most of Cordoba's main sites. Gerardo has done a wonderful job in renovating the hotel, and rooms and lobby area are modern and uniquely decorated. Breakfast is fresh, healthy, and great value.

Many thanks Gerardo for your lovely hospitality!

We loved this gorgeous jewel of a hotel. There were 7 of us traveling together. The owner, Gerardo, was gracious and accommodating. The rooms are well designed with comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. The breakfast was delicious, with amazing breads, fruit, yogurt and coffee. It is conveniently located within easy walking distance to the historical sites.
