Amen to what all the other reviewers have written. This hotel is in an old, beautifully-preserved building across the street from the Mezquita-Catedral. My friend and I had Room 11 (if I remember correctly), which has 4 single beds, so we had plenty of room. The desk clerk during the day spoke English fluently, and the night clerk that spoke only a little English dealt very patiently with my fractured Spanish.
Most important: Stay overnight in Cordoba, preferably at this hotel, rather than making it a day trip. Wake up early, as I did, stroll out into the early morning dark, and walk entirely by yourself all around this ancient edifice on those ancient stones. Go into the Mezquita at 8:30, before the milling crowds arrive, turning the place into a tourist attraction rather than a deeply spiritual space.

Room Tip: Room 11 was big and completely quiet. Like the other rooms, I think, it has no exterior window, just a window into the interior patio.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Mezquita for 3 nights during my visit to Cordoba. The hotel is situated right in the heart of the old town just a few steps away from the entrance to the Mezquita. The staff was professional and helpful. The room albeit small which is often the case in Spain was clean, quiet & comfortable. The hotel is architecturally lovely with lots of antique furniture, arched doorways & marble floors. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Great value!

We bused in from Granada then took a short taxi ride to the hotel right across the street from the Mezquita. It is so centrally located and near many of the other old town sights in Cordoba including the Alcazar, old Jewish quarter and the Torre de la Calahorra among others. The hotel itself was very neat, simple and clean. Breakfast was simple and enjoyable at their little courtyard. It was a perfect stay for us.

I traveled with 2 other female friends, we shared a large room with 4 very comfortable twin beds. The from desk staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. A charming central patio served an adequate morning breakfast...fresh fruit and pastry, juices and coffee until 11:00, which is wonderful for travelers who love the nights in Cordoba and sleep later in the morning. The location is truly 20 steps from The Mezquita! On Saturday we sat at the outside patio and watched as several weddings took place at The Mezquita! It is centrally located to everything there is to see and do in the beautiful city of Cordoba.
