No, having just come from The Ritz in Madrid, the Mezquita was a bit lacking in the luxury department. That makes it a good money-saving option for those who have chosen to splurge elsewhere.
For me, the beds were too hard and the noise too loud - our room was on the 3d floor and although not directly on the square in fromt on the mosque/cathedral the noise was disturbing. Quite possibly there are quieter rooms on internal courtyards - ASK.
Someone mentioned no elevator;however, there was indeed one that lead to my section of the hotel.
The staff was by no standard proficient in English, fine by me as I wanted to practice Spanish. Everyone my son or I encountered was friendly and helpful, with the possible exception of the "breakfast lady:, who was a bit of a martinet.
The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom more than adequate. Yes, I would stay again.
