“Small but nice”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

The museum is small and has just a few exhibits. The installations are nice and it worth a visit. It is free.

“interesting history”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

Part of the building was under renovation at the time of visit, but what I did see was fabulous. The 'Museo' is hidden away in a side street and I only came across it by chance, it's well worth searching out - good little cafe/bar opposite in the square to rest the legs after a good look around

“An unexpected little gem”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

This is the sort of Archaeology that makes sense to everyone and puts it in context ( not all dusty display cases) . Normally my husband and I trawl around together but we ambled off with occasional "did you see ?" it is interesting interactive and very visual and, astonishingly, free (for EU !) An impressive new build and really nice loos ! and I now know how to design an arena !!

“Nice collection, well presented”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

Some archaeological museums can be too large and a little overdone. Not this one. It's a sensible size and provides a good representation of the city and it's life through all it's important periods. It's also very modestly priced at one euro fifty and fairly easy to find. It shouldn't take much more than an hour to visit. Be sure to go to every level. Also, have a drink of some sort in the square outside if it's a hot day. The hospitality is good there and the prices extremely reasonable.

“Cordoba uncovered ”
Reviewed 13 June 2014 via mobile

Great museum with just enough exhibits (excellently labelled in English) to give insight into Cordoba's history. The excavations in the basement are complemented by some computer generated graphics of how things would have looked at the time and are well worth a look. Visiting the museum is free with an EU passport and it doesn't close in the middle of the day so is a great way to escape the afternoon heat.
