Roman ruins smack in the middle of town! This is something I would expect in Italy, but it is a great reminder that the roman empire spread down also to the south of Spain. It really makes you appreciate the layers of history this town and the rest of Andalucía have. This site was very impressive. Just a couple of tourists there. I was surprised not to see more people there. I guess tourists don't want to make the 15-20 min. walk away from the Mezquita. And its clearly marked on your tourist map. Go see it!!! We took some great photos there.
