“Okay for a one night stay”
Reviewed 13 April 2010

We stayed in Cordoba for a night on our way from Sevilla to Madrid. Since we had an early morning train to Madrid, we wanted to stay close to the train station. This hotel was fine for that purpose. Be mindful that the hotel walls/doors are thin and the beds were hard; however, the room was clean. The walk into the city center is a bit confusing and takes about 15 mins. They also charge for the use of the in-room safe which I found odd.

I stayed at this hotel just for one night and now I am happy I didn't book for a longer stay.

The staff is not really friendly, even though English is spoken at the reception (this is an exception everywhere in Spain).

The hotel claims to have a WiFi connection available for the visitors, and that's one of the reasons why I have booked there, but the connection was not working (they told me "maybe tomorrow").

The room was clean, but very small, dark and in bad condition. Furniture was old and both doors of the closet were missing!

By booking at this hotel I just took advantage of the very central location.
I am looking forward to visit Cordoba again, but surely staying in a different hotel.

The location of this Hotel was excellent, it was close to the main shopping area and only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the old part where you can wander around admiring the architecture of the Juderia.
The downside was the hotel room we were in, we were stuck away in a corner room with a small window which had to be covered as a row of other rooms could look straight into it. The room colour, a funny sort of blue did not help as it was depressing and made the room, which was not actually small, seem very small. The one saving grace was the bathroom which was lovely. The hotel claimed to have a bar, which was never open for the three nights we stayed there, nor was the restaurant, apart from breakfast, and we were there at the end of June. There was a lovely piano in the corner when we went through to breakfast but we never saw it uncovered or used. The staff were, on the whole friendly, to a point, but some were a little stand offish. It is not a hotel we would want to visit again even though we were not overcharged for our visit.

Nice little hotel in the center of Cordoba. You might get lost trying to find it but it is right in the center of things. We got there wandering through some narrow lanes with our rented car. They offered underground parking for 15 Euro a day which was still not exhorbitant considering that the room was not expensive. We found that Parking a car in any of the Spanish town centers is not recommended since it takes too much time to find a place and public transit is pretty good and reasonable. The room was clean, modern, quiet and light. If I have to complain about anything it was that I had to go hunting for an Internet place. Honestly do not remember if there was a fridge. Did not eat there. Too many close by diversions.

although it is in a good position, the Selu is a hotel that doesn't push any positive vibes to recommend it. Food was average; safe was not free; no iron available; room was ok.
